CM should be white/yellowish thick and creamy in early pregnancy.
The cervix can be anything at this point, with it collecting mucous for the plug, it changes rapidly from one day to another.
I suggest you not feel your cervix after your get a +HPT for the risk of infection. Your cervix is busy and you will learn nothing from it for now. However, the CM can be a very early clue (about the same time as a HPT would be positive though) of pregnancy.
Usually when a woman is about to start her period her cervix will be dry, high, and hard.
Take a test, and think sticky vibes.

The cervix is supposed to be closed. If it opens up during pregnancy, it usually indicates miscarraige or weak cervix.
