Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 August 2006

we have a wrangler and i've seen other people driving with the top off and baby carseats in the back....
i was just wondering if anyone out there has any advice about this.

i don't plan on having the top off at least until the baby is around 8 or 9 months old maybe longer....any tips??

our trainer has given us some great tips and ideas, however, i was wondering what worked for you???

we have a baby doll that cries and we use "leave it" and "gentle" commands with the dog around the doll.
i also have plans for a friend to bring her baby over so my dog can get used to a baby smell, even dirty diapers, and used to seeing the baby as a part of me, like when i hold the baby.

so, any other tips??

p.s. our dog is a chocolate lab...he'll be about 8 months old when the baby is born.

he tries to use it but when he suts on the toilet he does not do any thing but when he get up he does it on the floor

I just bought one (my first baby is due Aug. 29th) and it seems to me (from reading the directions) that it doesn't hold much (approx. 30 diapers) and the refills don't last long. I'm thinking that I'll only use it for the poopy diapers instead of putting all the diapers in there in order to save the time and $$. What is your experience with Diaper Genies? Are they really useful?

I hear people say they'd rather have them try it at home and that it would be safer. I agree it would be safer but I am torn. I'm having a real moral dilemma here. Help! (btw these are my bf's children and he thinks it's ok but I'm not so sure it's a good idea. They are only 8 and 10 now but I'd like more pros and cons about this issue.)

I have been living with this guy for 7 years. I am not denying that he has done good things for me and so did I. He just does not want to move out of his mama's house and he hitts me. His mother is involved in everything we do. When I got in the relationship I was 16 years old. He made me ran away from home. Now that I am 23 I feel like there is a better future for me. I want to go to school and do other things. He says he will hurt me if I ever left.
What he fails to understand is that I am not the 16 year old he met years ago - I am smarter and realized I made mistakes. I want to get out quick. He has been very abusive through the years and I feel like I need to get out and find freedom. I lost touch with most my family and old friends.

Do I just ask the police to help me get my stuff out of the house? I really don't want to get hurt. I don't have friends . all my friends are his friends. I need out right now. I have had it. Help me please. I am scared.Sorry for gramar mistake.

I had a dream about mine and I told my sister in law and she said that she had a dream about her first baby and she saw the face and it was a girl. She said the baby came out looking the same as in the dream and it is a girl. I had saw my baby's face in my dream and it was a boy. I am not far enough along to find out the sex with an ultra sound. To be tested for ADHD or ADD, what do they have to have tested to be diagnosed.Is the meds they are put on for these conditions worth the potential side effects? I think my 2 kids may be AHDH but am afraid of the meds they put put kids on,I hate "drugging up" my kids but I don't know of any other options.

I've been wanting to get pregnant for a few months now and I've missed my period by 2 or 3 days, i experienced implantation spotting about 2 days before my due period, I've taken 4 pregnancy tests, all of them showed up positive, what is the chance that it could be just a chemical pregnancy? i really don't want to get my hopes up.

My husband told me that it's up to me if i got back to work right after having the baby. We sat down and figured that it's going to cost us $800 a month for someone to care for our infant and i only bring home a little more than that a month. So its makes sense for me to just stay home with our daughter. I feel strange thinking someone eles is going to raise my babygirl and see all the things she's gona do before me!
