I've been wanting to get pregnant for a few months now and I've missed my period by 2 or 3 days, i experienced implantation spotting about 2 days before my due period, I've taken 4 pregnancy tests, all of them showed up positive, what is the chance that it could be just a chemical pregnancy? i really don't want to get my hopes up.

sounds like a baby to me! congrats. there is nothing more wonderful than having that precious baby wrap his little hand around your finger, or smiling for the first time at your funny face, or hugging you telling you how much they love you. mommy, is the best word ever invented. i love being a mom, 4 times.

take 20 more tests, run a CHIsquare test on the results, find out the p value, if it is less than 0.05, then there is a statistically significant chance that you are pregnant. About 95%. This is a scientifically accepted method.

or, go in a really quiet room, alone... call very loudly to any baby that might be in the room, and see if anyone answers.

or... go to a doctor? is that hard? This is Yahoo answers. You've taken 4 pregnancy tests and you're still cautious? Geez, someone or something must've really gotten to you if you're are THIS defeatist of yourself. IT'S OK TO GET YOUR HOPES UP!!!

bah.

You are pregnant! Congratulations Mommy To-Be!
If you were not pregnant then the test would not have come back positive. Pregnancy tests test for a hormone called (HCG) and the only time a woman has this hormone in her body is if she is pregnant. Call your Dr. for an appointment to confirm the pregnancy. Good Luck

When we asked our doctor, she said that false positives are really, really unlikely on modern pregnancy tests. The way those tests work is by reacting to levels of particular hormones which register 8-11 days after ovulation -- which is probably a couple days before you took the test...so while it's early, it sounds promising! I'd still suggest you see a doctor.

Very rare. If 4 tests show positive, you are most likely pregnant. Make your appointment with a doctor to do the blood test for confirmation.

The HPT's test for a hormone that is only present when you are pregnant.

Well if the lines are dark and your period is late, I would say congrats there's no way it's chemical.
