Hi
MY son is 3 1/2. He just started potty training. I tried the m&m's when he would go ,but he would pee pee for only a secong run get m&m's then go back to the potty to pee some more then back and forth. The only thing that seemed to help with him and I know this seems bad, but his aunt feared him into pottying over a monster and he has NEVER used his diaper again. I was at first very upset with my sister, but hey it worked and we are SAVING some money now. I know this is far fetched and crazy, but maybe they are not ready at 2 maybe wait till around three. Don't try this at home! (If I had it my way it would have never happened) Hope this helps!

There is a potty out for boys called the Peter Potty. It is a stand up urinal for boys. My friend has a 5 year old who is autistic and was showing little to no interest he has had the peter potty for 2 months and was totally trained by three weeks. You need to type it in on a search engine to find it or you can find it on ebay. Average cost is About $40.00 but from what I understand well worth it. I just bought one for my 13 month old to start this winter. Hope this helps.

All youngsters are distinct, however from private enjoy...i've a 2year historic practically three we simply announced the potty chair to him to get him the inspiration that that is wherein you cross to move potty. So everytime he is going into the toilet he is taking his diaper off and sits at the potty. We by no means push it on him. I dont hassle with the pullups in view that he already is aware of to take the diaper off to move potty. Unless your little one is potty informed and demands the further security over night time, I would not hassle with the pullups. But that is my opinion. You will see the indicators whilst he's equipped. Just introduce the potty and lingerie...it takes time...and so they do say boys are slower to instruct than women. Good good fortune to you!

He may not be ready. I tried forever training my son and when I gave up and thought he was going to kindergarten in a diaper (ha, ha), it all seemed to click. He was about 2 and a half and trained at 3. I think if I would have just waited till he was 3 it would have been easy...because he was ready.
And when he was ready to pee standing up...cheerios!!!! He laughed and laughed aiming for them! He didn't miss the bowl until I said enough with the cheerios!

there are certain things that you can look at to determine whether or not your boy is ready to be potty trained. 1. he can verbalize the need to do both urinate and defecate 2. when he awakes in the morning his diaper is dry. 3. he expreses a desire to please you (like doing good behavior) 4. he can sit on the toilet for 5 min without being too squirmish and getting up. 5. he is able to sit squat and walk with no assistance. 6. he is able to stay dry fo at least 2 hours at a time. with my son when i first started i would take him to the bathroom at least every 30 min. whether he expressed desire to go or not.he would try to go and eventually he started telling me and was soon going on his on. n good luck

Start him out standing then. He'll need to learn that eventually anyway. The best way I've ever heard is to put a few cherrios in the toilet and have him try to sink them. He will never sink them but somehow reward him if he goes and washes his hands.

When you sit him on the potty let the water run lightly so he knows what it sounds like! It may not make sense but its working for my 2 yr. old boy now.

1st get him or her some pull ups like some huggies feel and
learn when the liner gets wet he or she will relise what they've
done. After a while they'll get it and they'll start using a regular
toilet. That's what I plan on doing with my 7 month old daughter
when she turns 2 years old.
