we have a wrangler and i've seen other people driving with the top off and baby carseats in the back....
i was just wondering if anyone out there has any advice about this.

i don't plan on having the top off at least until the baby is around 8 or 9 months old maybe longer....any tips??

thanks!

As long as the baby is strapped in and the driver is driving safely, the baby is safer than it would be in a small car, that's for sure. My buddy was going about 35 and some guy pulled out in front of him in acrown Victoria. By buddy wasn't wearing his seatbelt, but because the jeep is so hefty, he was ok...not even injured, but the taxi doesn't even work anymore. Even if they flip, the baby is in no more danger than the rest of the people in the car. Only thing to worry about is foreign debris entering the cab.

I agree with the other posters on this topic concerning the wind. I would also be worried about trucks throwing up gravel or debris from the road and it hitting the little one. Better safe than sorry.

Babies skin burns easily, be careful how much sun the kid gets. My daughter was out in the shade for about 20 minutes and she blistered and peeled.

Every kid is different. My baby (who is now 11 months) wouldn't have liked the wind blowing in his face. I've seen other people do it. I wouldn't but I'm not their kid's parent.

I don't like the idea of all that wind on the baby. It can damage their hearing.

I would never do that either. You never know what would hit the child.
