We have a 6 y/o together and he has a 10 y/o from a previous...both girls. This was our last try and we just found out we're having another girl. He has become so depressed that he has withdrawn himself from the pregnancy. He's reluctant to touch me, help me pick out things for the nursery, or to help choose a name. Anyone have any advice?

I am now 5 days late. I have been regular for the past 8 or 9 months or so. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, so we are wishful, but not hopefull. I say this because we have been trying to concieve for 7 months now.
I have endometriosis, so it would be a miracle if I did get pregant. I have abdominal pain every day because of it, so I can't tell any differance in heaviness or anything.
I know when I should have ovulated, and when I should have started. I ovulate pretty late in my cycle, so it is still too early to do a home pregnancy test. We did have sex during the week of ovulation.
I have been having crazy mood swings, nausia, a bigger appitite, and my breasts are tender and getting bigger. I know these things could be caused by pms. I'd just like to know some opinions.

I used to baby-sit my sis-in-law kids for 2 mths. The kids come and go unexpectedly. Due to the mom's rashness n stubbornness, she takes away my joy. I love the kids, both boys. The bro is 5yrs, baby is 10mths. I love the baby more. Now, my house is quiet again no joy, no laughter. What to do now?

I still dont understand what drives people to chose to have so many children. I have a friend that is going on her 4th, and will probably continue after that. The thing is they are not in such a great financial situation at all. I dont think they even have medical benefits secure. Its not just accidents that happen and they get pregnant. Her and her husband chose to continue. I only have 1 and possibly may have another as long as I am financially ok.
I really dont understand this way of thinking at all. Is there a psycological explanation behind why some people chose to have such a large family without having the means to accomadate so many? To make matters worse she is one of those moms that take her kids to a public place or to someones home and lets them go wild and never disciplines them for lack of respect for others and will curse someone out for telling her kids to control themselves. I am just curious if there is some type of personality explanation for people like this?

this past week my son (he is 5) began waking up around 10pm. He calls out "Mommy" but when I go up there, he doesn't seem to know I am there. He is shaking and rubbing his eyes and sometime mumbling gibberish. Twice he tried to play with his hot wheels cars. When I try to hold him, he pulls away. His eyes are open yet he doesn't seem to realize what is going on. This has happened 6 out of 8 nights. Can anyone help?

I am interested in home day cares, but it scares me that my lil 1 year old will be running around barely walking amongst others who havent mastered the walking skill while a care provider must rush to the restroom. How do they do it? Do most watch tv all day and just igonore the kids?? Or is it cheaper and more attention for the kids?

In detail what is it like? What are the fears, thoughts, feelings that come to you when the one you had intercourse with is pregnant, and when that child is born into the world?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but since it's a family squabble issue, I thought I'd put it here.

I have a son (16) and daughter (17). Both are staying with my sister in England for the summer vacation. She runs a store in England (Scotch Shop) which sells Scottish related things (clothing, food, ornaments etc). They are helping out part-time to fund their keep and earn some extra spending money which they are then using to travel around more.

Anyway, here is the argument. My sister (and her district manager) have a policy that the staff wear kilts... note that these are not real kilts which can be very expensive, but more different tartan stlyle skirts (of varied lengths).

My son is objecting and says he doesn't want to wear a "skirt". My daughter thinks he should, otherwise she shouldn't have to either (she is actually a tomboy and hardly ever wears a skirt). My sister insists that she has enforced this before with guys and girls and isn't backing down.

How should I play it
