yes they had a special on it on like 20 20 or dateline some show like that where a baby was born with its legs fused together they went through the whole process of surgeons helping make her legs look normal

My Fiance has the middle toes on both feet fused. She functions normally. but I can see how having the legs fused would create a problem. I am sure a good doctor could fix that since they are able to seperate siamese twins.

No. It is a very rare condition; only 1 in 70,000 babies are born with sirenomelia. They rarely live more than a week because of other birth defects involving the internal organs.

i saw a show on Discovery channel. a little girl was born like that and they also showed her having the surgery to correct it.

like the mermaid baby that was on oprah? if that is what you are talking about then i saw that episode. if i recall, the girl had surgery and is okay now.
