completely normal to lactate heavily during pregnancy. sometimes, women will lactate in spurts like you are but others may just have a small continuous leak. either way, its just your hormones and body getting ready for the time when youll need to produce milk on a bigger level. Stacy, RN

It's normal to have milk production during pregnancy. Some women have it more then others. If you are really leaking, you may need to use a breast pad just so you aren't leaking all over.
Sometimes cool cabbage leaves will help with leaking. Take the outside leaves, big ones, cut a hole in the center and then place them over your breasts. Sounds weird and kinda gross, I know, but it works. It slows down the release of milk. It also helps with engorgment after you have had the baby, so keep it in mind for later. ;)
Stay away from warm baths and showers. It will just make it worse. Either that, or it will help relieve the pressure if you are feeling really full.
Right now, you are producing what's called colustrum. It's basically pre-milk, what the baby will eat when they are first born. It has tons of nutrients, fat and antibodies that help the baby for the first few days of life until your milk really comes in.
As far as the heartrate is concerned, it could have been that the baby was sleeping, or just having some down time. That can slow the heartrate. It also could have been that you needed to eat, either way, the heartrate isn't that concerning.
Pregnancy causes weird stuff to happen to every woman. It's normal to have weird things happen. If you think there is something that isn't normal, or that feels just not right, don't hesitate to call your doctor. That's what they are there for.
Good Luck!!!!!

I have heard of this happening-- but I would place a call to the doc just to be sure.
It seems a little early for you to be lactating this much. Between that and the baby's heartbeat, its a good thing to check on.
Things are probably OK, but you will feel better getting a straight answer from the doc.
Best of luck and congrats!

I dunno about heart rates and blood pressures but I know at your stage of development it is normal to begin lactating, as to how much, it vary's from woman to woman. Ive read about people lactating a lot in the weeks before birth, I wouldn't worry about it. Congratulations by the way, my daughter is turning one this month.

You're asking strangers on the internet about a medical condition? If you are worried, go to the hospital NOW! If it is not a problem, it won't matter a year from now....if it is a problem, you just might save your baby and yourself. GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO GET CHECKED OUT NOW!!!

ARE YOU A NEW MOMMY?I DID THAT WITH MY FIRST AND SECOND CHILD.IT'S VERY NORMAL.SOME WOMEN "milk out" AS MY MOM SAYS AND SOME WOMEN DON'T. WITH THE OTHER 5 OF MY KIDS I ONLY HAD A LITTLE MILK.AND ONE OF MY FRIENDS LEAKED SO MUCH SHE NEEDED TO TAKE A PILL FROM HER DR TO DRY UP THE MILK. I WANTED TO BREAST FEED ALL OF MY CHILDREN,BUT I COULDN'T PRODUCE ENOUGH MILK.SO I BOTTLE FED.DO YOU HAVE A BREAST PUMP?ARE YOU GOING TO BREAST FEED?IF YOU ARE AND HAVE A PUMP. PUMP SOME OF THE MILK OUT AND FREEZE IT OR THROW IT AWAY.THAT WAY IF YOUR GONNA BREAST FED YOU WILL HAVE WENT THROUGH THE REAL SORENESS,BEFORE THE BEAUTIFUL BABY ARRIVES.
