Each huge corporation is organized like a dictatorship - the CEO is like a little dictator and everybody else like a slave.

It seems that the Dixie Chicks were right about bush after all, weren't they?

All good Americans are ashamed of bush.

Do you think there are politicians who are corrupted in the US?
Or they all are honest?

Barack Obama's presidential campaign is funded entirely by grassroots supporters like you. Unlike Hillary Clinton, Senator Obama does not accept money from special interest groups and Washington lobbyists. As a result:
Barack Obama owes nothing to the Health Insurance Industry
Barack Obama owes nothing to the Oil Industry
Barack Obama owes nothing to the Weapons Industry
Instead, Senator Obama truly represents the change we can believe in because his only obligation is to the best interests of the American people, made possible by individual supporters like you.

Does anyone else find it sort of sad how instead of having some sort of debate, people in this section do exactly what politicians do? Attack each other, put convenient labels, and not respond?

I only see the same tired emotional-driven responses here
War
Immigration
Global Warming
Who's sucks more

Do you honestly think either major party is doing a fantastic job? I think all this smearing has lowered the overall standard. Rather than rise up, they put the other down to make themselves look better. Our last two presidents haven't been satisfactory, and the new lineup of candidates doesn't look awesome either

I think people should be more critical of their own parties. Otherwise, the politicians pretty much get away with corruption, back room deals, etc, which both parties already do because their supporters seem blind-sighted to their flaws.

Now we can even make animals glow in the dark for our amusement. As much as I like computers and technology (since I'm even here), I still have to say that it is starting to get out of hand.

NEW YORK - The Rev. Al Sharpton angrily denounced federal authorities Thursday for investigating him and his civil rights organization, suggesting that the Justice Department was retaliating against him for his civil rights advocacy

The FBI and the IRS are investigating Sharpton for tax fraud and possible campaign finance violations stemming from his 2004 presidential bid, according to a person familiar with the investigation. They also are investigating the National Action Network and several businesses he runs.

Why aren't there any movies where say the Sherriff of Notingham imprisons and executes Robin Hood -- the wealthy-elite then celebrate with a fabulous meal?

Why aren't there any movies where a corporation is dumping their hazzardous chemicals in a local river and when the local population finds out, they are beaten down by a poluted court system and a complicit judge -- culminating with corporate excutives and shareholders celebrating with a fabulous golf outing.

Why aren't there any movies where an evil empire attacks a small, defenseless nation, destroys that nation killing a million of their citizens and then claims their natural resources for themselves -- culminating in a fabulous party of wealthy-elites celebrating on a big yacht?

America America

I too love jeans and jazz and Treasure Island and John Silver’s parrot and the balconies of New Orleans. I love Mark Twain. I love the fields of wheat and corn and the smell of Virginia tobacco. But I am not American.

Is that enough for the Phantom pilot to turn me back to the Stone Age? I need neither oil nor America herself, neither the elephant nor the donkey.

Leave me pilot, leave my house roofed with palm fronds and this wooden bridge. I need neither your Golden Gate nor your skyscrapers. I need the village, not New York.

Why did you come to me from your Nevada desert, soldier armed to the teeth? Why did you come all this way to distant Basra, where fish used to swim by our doorsteps?

Leave me alone, soldier. Leave me my floating cane hut and my fishing spear. Leave me my migrating birds.Take your roaring iron birds and your Tomahawk missiles. I am not your foe. Leave me to my curse. I do not need your day of doom.
