It seems that the Dixie Chicks were right about bush after all, weren't they?

All good Americans are ashamed of bush.

That is not true. History will tell it right.

In the worst of circumstances (i.e., if, after documents are released decades from now proving liberal's accusations true) he will be considered the worst at least of the modern age. In the best of circumstances (i.e., either no proof arrises or doesn't exist) then it is likely that he will still be reflected upon as poor (just consider his steady 30%, the "liberal media," liberal universities--i.e., those who write the history books). Consider presidents who had similar approval ratings: Nixon and Carter...not good presidents by common conceptualizations. The situation is different than Reagan, Clinton, etc. Both presdents had a steady 60-70% approval rating (and were not associated with unpopular wars and other serious, LEGALLY culpable acts--aside from perjury. Besides, unlike Clinton (who was more publicly accessible and, not to mention, if they weren't able to find anything with 8 years of whitewater, there wasn't much there) the Bush admin. is very isolated, meaning that once he's out, I imagine something will surface.
I'd say he'll be considered AT LEAST the worst since Carter. And Carter was probably just a below average president but just a bad time to be president.
Let's face it: during the Bush admin. we started a very unpopular war, increased national debt by 1/3, mishandled a natural disaster, associated with rumors of voter fraud, war profeteering and other legal issues, had a vice president shoot someone in the face, etc. If anyone could kill their highest approval rating of all time, (92%) it would be Bush. Either this president has the worst luck of all time or the administration sucks. The constant recycling of his cabinet indicates that even he thinks something is wrong.
P.S., I love the flat contrary arguements: "Bush is so heroic, he's such a great patriot. He embodies leadership and reminds me of my daddy! George Bush is the bestest president in the history of the world and that's why he isn't bad."

On the contrary, Kevin H and Boom!, he is a really great President and has served his country extremely well. Most Americans, his advisers, soldiers, and their families included admire and respect President Bush for his intelligence in both stabilizing the war in Iraq and his foreign policies. His bravery to fight to the end and not give in to the terrorists and their demands is highly respected by us all. I believe he will be remembered as one of the most greatest Presidents this country has ever had...next to his father, President George H. W. Bush, and President Ronald Reagan, may God rest his soul.

No, the Dixie Chicks were wrong...and their cd's are not as popular anymore, and neither are they, since they bashed him on stage. Poor things. Bet they'll never do that again! Matter of fact, they never did.

I am actually ashamed and feel disgraced by the clintons...bill and hillary, that is. Now, there, is a demon who will go down in history as the most hated president in all of US history, even more so than Nixon.

Peace and have a Merry Christmas.

It's a little too soon to say. It really depends on what happens in the next 10 years. How things go in the middle east . Iran and so on ,He could turn out to be a great visionary that saved us all from a terrible fate or the demon that you seem to think he is, only time (history) will tell

The Dixie Chicks may or may not be right .However, the venue they chose to voice that opinion was inappropriate

I don't know about the Dixie Chicks, and I don't hate Bush. There is little doubt, however, that history will show him to be the worst President the United States has ever had.

For all his weaknesses, George Washington became into the terrific president ever. even even with the incontrovertible fact that they presented to make him King, he became it down and fairly went abode after the conflict, desperate to be an occasion of what people could do with their freedom - affirming we've been by with Kings in this usa. Most hated is one thing. Dumbest and most incompetent is another. Even when he reads a well-prepared speech, Bush makes so many mistakes. His failed presidency highlights the problem with grade inflation. If his teachers had flunked him, America would have been better for it now.

Only time will tell. Look back 50 years and see what most Americans think of any president. The emotions have cooled and events have played out and everything is put into perspective.

Wait and see.

The Dixie Chicks are great Americans to speak out for their country. Bush will go into the history books as the worst President in history, just before Herbert Hoover.

*Mentioning the Dixie Slutts in the same sentence or thought with "all good Americans" is an oxymoron.
It aint over til the fat lady sings and she hasn't started to warm up yet.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
How come didn't you use Jimmie Carter?
He was and is the worst President yet with a
.....20% approval rating.
Nixon's was at .....33%......and he resigned.....

He will be named among Nixon, Reagan, and Carter as one of the worst presidents of all time!!!

Its scary that the Dixie Chicks were right...

Granted you won't convince any of the 28% who still seem to like him for what ever reason. Then again Hitler and Stallin had supports too!!!

This is going to get my thumbs down but looking in to the future. If Hillary becames the president, and if her approval rating is only 1/2 as much as Bills were. Her approval ratings will be higher then Bush's!!!
