Your question is very vague. But I presume you are wondering why the USA invaded Iraq as opposed to another country.
President Bush's rationale was that Saddam Hussein was an evil dictator (which he was) and that he had weapons of mass destruction ready to launch at us.
The actual reason was so President Bush could avenge the plot by Saddam Hussein to kill his father and to get at Iraq's oil. Saddam could have been seized without a full invasion of Iraq. And he had no WMD's.

We all understand the bizarre behavior of Saddam and his two sons, so it's no surprise that Iraq was a reasonable target, for that reason alone. Saddam's defiance towards the UN mandate was yet another excuse for invasion.
Most of all, Saddams attempt on George H.W. Bush's life was probably the catalyst behind the real reason we picked Iraq.

If it was about oil, why havn't we invested jack in Iraqi oil infrastructure? They continue to produce at a fraction of their potential.
I am not being facetious. Investing in Iraqi oil infrastructure would benefit Iraq and the rest of the world greatly. Why havn't we taken the necessary steps?

After all the years of sanctions, and no fly zones. They were an easy target. No real military.
Our allies are located close by. Turkey, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia are close by logistical
It would be easy to tie them to Al Quada even though there was no connection.
American in general still hated Saddam and did not trust him. He was the Bully in the middle east.

Probably because of the strained relations with Saddam. People will tell you oil, but in reality, the United States receives less oil from Iraq now before we invaded, largely due to terrorist bombings.
In addition, Iraq had demostrated its capability to wage biological warefare in the past, unlike the other Arab nations. That made it a greater threat.
There is evidence the Bush administration knowingly acted on false information. But take a step back. Terrorists attacked this country and and you are given a golden ticket to take down an enemy and prevent further attacks on US soil. Do you not act?
It is a tough debate with no right answer.

1. At the time, all intelligence said he had weapons of mass destruction. He had in fact used them on his own people and the Iranians.
2. He had refused to allow weapons inspectors into his country to determine if he had WMD's (very suspicious) resulting in 17 UN resolutions.
3. The cease fire agreement of the 1st Gulf war stipulated that Saddam submit to weapons inspections in order to keep cease fire intact. He failed to do so- See #2 above.
4. In the wake of the 9/11 attacks, Americans were fearful of another attack and determined to eliminate any and all threats. Saddam posed a threat. He was pissed at the US over sanctions imposed by the UN. Saddam had previously used chemical weapons on his own population and Iran, invaded Kuwait, and comitted many, many other atrocities. This resulted in his execution.
5. Iraq has strategic importance too.
These and many other reasons are why we correctly invaded Iraq. The history books will show this was a brilliant move for the US by Bush.
Edit: It's hysterical those of you pointing to oil as the reason. Have any of you noticed the price of oil in the US lately? It's way up. You libs are so brainwashed....funny!
