Most people in Pakistan, where illiteracy is rife, get their news from TV or radio. Shortly before the government suspended the constitution and the freedoms it guarantees, cable operators pulled the plug on domestic and international news channels — including the BBC, CNN and Fox News.

Why is welfare often associated with the Democratic party when it's a federal policy? Welfare isn't only limited to Democrats or Democratic voters. The last Democratic president (Bill Clinton) signed a bill to cut welfare and change state role. I just don't understand why people talk about welfare as though it's a Democratic program. Could someone explain this to me.

Liberal/Humanist questions with reactionary answers disagreeing.

Conservative/Fundamentalist/Pro-war questions with anti-war answers.

Is it all about some thrill they get out of answering a question just to disagree with the asker? Most people dont even answer questions with people they agree with?

Also, isnt this enabling warmongers and/or religous fanatics with nowhere else to turn?

Why do we have relations with dicatorships in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and communist China and Vietnam, but not Cuba?

======================

North Korea signed an accord in February with the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Russia and China to end its pursuit of nuclear weapons in exchange for energy aid and normalized relations with the governments in Washington and Tokyo. Kim Jong Il's regime shut down its Yongbyon reactor, which produced weapons-grade plutonium, in July.

The U.S. and North Korea have discussed the country's removal from the State Department's list of states sponsoring terrorism as part of the agreement.

I ask this because cons are always coming up with conspiracy theories and excuses when I hit them with facts.

Apparently the census, the treasury department, whitehouse.org, and all the scientific organizations are all controlled by liberals. It's one big tin foil hat liberal conspiracy. Only Hannity and Limbaugh "tell it like it is".

I'd expect that these evil healthcare companies would be afraid of the federal government suppling healthcare to everyone, but I've heard that some of the executives for companies like UnitedHealth are quite liberal. Almost half their political contributations (45%) were to Democrats (http://opensecrets.org/industries/contrib.asp?Ind=H&cycle=2006). Could their be any insiders planning on making money if the government takes control of healthcare? Or would this mega healthcare bureaucracy be the one giant federal bureaucracy with no corruption?

Remember these are people that would shun you if you ever leave their faith... Do not believe in blood transfusions to save your life.... implore parents to miss the funerals of their children if they leave the faith and subsequently die....

Just quoting what somebody said about Obama.
===============
"The property of this country is absolutely concentred in a very few hands, having revenues of from half a million of guineas a year downwards... I am conscious that an equal division of property is impracticable. But the consequences of this enormous inequality producing so much misery to the bulk of mankind, legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property, only taking care to let their subdivisions go hand in hand with the natural affections of the human mind. Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise. Whenever there is in any country, uncultivated lands and unemployed poor, it is clear that the laws of property have been so far extended as to violate natural right. The earth is given as a common stock for man to labor and live on."

These headlines are copy and pasted from the Fox homepage

*Buffy the Porn Star?
*Cheerleading Coach Fired Over Topless Photos | VIDEO
*Breasts: New weapons in terror war
*Saudi cleric: How to beat your wife

This is ignoring the fact that they also have plastered a bunch of models next to each of their headlines. I wouldn't want my kids reading some of this stuff. Do conservatives really believe that this is conservative journalism?

Why would we want somebody who supported the war or claimed to have been duped to lead America? If you couldn't see that we were being terribly misled into a war that took our eyes off of Osama bin Laden (the man responsible for the deaths on 9/11), then isn't that horrible judgment!?
