Just talk to him like a regular person and explain your beliefs and how you feel those things have been subjected to a scorched earth policy. He's definitely old enough to understand these things and may have some ideas of his own. :)

BTW, there still are 25% out there who continue to like Bush. It's so hard to fathom.

Talk about stains how about the one left on Monica lewinskis dress. Now back to your moronic question how do you explain to a 10 year old. The same way you explained to him that he needs to carry rubbers in his pockets, the same way you explained to him about heather's two mommies, the same way you explained to him where to go whenever he gets his 11 year old girlfriend pregnant for an abortion and never ever to talk to an adult or god forbid his parents, The same way you have talked to him about how our founding fathers were just slave owners and evil men who took the land from the innocent for there own gain but other countries and there histories were great struggles and anything they did was all for the betterment of its people but americans are greedy and selfish people who care about nothing but oil and there hedge funds. After you have taken away his innocence and childhood You can be proud that you have a raised a little socialist who has nothing but disdain and disrespect for his country and any adult who wears a suit and goes to work each day . A chip off the old block dad. Thats how you explain it to your child.

He is way too young to be taught a political opinion. He would not be able to make an informed decision; he would only have what he is told, and reasoning skills are not developed enough to make one's own opinion. Teaching him about something in politics besides the facts is not education; it's indoctrination.

Difficult when it was the infighting between parties that has really caused the problems, not just one party.

To place blame for the problems we have had these past 8 years all on conservatives, would mean you would also have to give them all the credit for the good like the economy that continues to thrive.

And I am sure you could not possibly give the conservatives any credit for any good.

Both parties started the mess, both parties can share the blame.

If you believe that President Bush and his administration represent Conservative Politics then you shouldn't be teaching 10 year olds anything.

I make a point of teaching my 8yr old to look at both sides of the coin, not just the easy-to-swallow side and his understanding is far more reasoned than one might expect. I know I'm teaching him well when he doesn't always agree with me. Kids understand far more than we give them credit for.

It's so sad that seemingly reasonable, intelligent people still don't realize that the blame for this nation's problems aren't the result of liberal politics, conservative politics, or any other -ic's. The fault lies with POLITICIANS, period.
