I'm wondering if the two vetoes are connected. Given that children are more dependent than adults on natural sources of water, that lack of quality water will be unhealthy for children, and that several million will be denied health care due to his SCHIP veto, when you tie it all together you have the frightening possibility that Bush is taking a clever approach to harming children. And it really comes together when you consider that SCHIP recipient children, being relatively poor, are more likely to grow up to be Democratic voters, if they live that long. This is a serious question. Those who can't handle the truth need not answer.

Killing fellow Muslims can't be helping there cause. When will the peace loving Muslims around the world publicly denounce terrorism and stamp it out of their religion?

The solution seems to lie within themselves. If they continue to allow this within their religion the world will continue to live with terrorism, including themselves.

If 2% of Muslims are nut cases that's 500,000 the world has to deal with. Could it all end with a few words changed in the Koran? Something like peace on earth, good will toward men?

Why have we not gotten rid of this department yet, when it costs 67,200 Million per year, and in its own words is only for...
1.Establish policies reguarding federal financial aid, administers, and monitors those funds.
2. Colects and oversees research on americas schools, and gives this info out.
3. "Identifies major problems" in schools, and "focuses national attention on them".
4. Enforces federal anti descrimination policies reguarding school and loans

The same ed.gov site then ends with
("Under the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Nothing specific is said about education in the Constitution; therefore it falls outside federal authority.")

WHY DO WE HAVE THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION STILL!

What kind of Presidential candidate has to blame someone else because they performed atrociously in a debate? Of course if she had any Core Beliefs she wouldn't have waffled so much and looked so inept.

Nor should any religion or priest have any say over what is a medical condition and what is not a medical condition. They have no authority or education in such matters. And, another example as to why abortion should NEVER be made illegal. Read the article before you comment.

Wouldn't it be easier to just be the "Right Wing Spin Machine" that everyone accuses them of being. Or is their balanced approach the reason they have more viewers than all the other "major networks" combined.

Because all those things are already happening.

Quoted from a source: "The most prevalent question is why there are so many blacks in poverty. Liberals argue that it is the result of continuing racism and discrimination, especially at hiring time. Conservatives have argued a variety of other causes: moral shortcomings, poor work ethic, even intellectual inferiority. Another important question is whether welfare causes poverty."
What do you think?

Dems pretend to care about individual rights, as long as you're part of a historically repressed minority. And then when it comes time to actually write policy, well, they actually don't support homosexual marriage - and they don't actually reform the war on drugs, if anything, Clinton cracked down as hard as Reagan.

Reps pretend to care about individual rights too, but only if you own a gun or have a radio show. They talk about the bill of rights and the 2nd amendment, but when the party brass gets together to pick a front-runner they decide on Rudy.

By all calculations, the two parties are incredibly "authoritarian," a term that applies equally well to the left or the right. Whether its warrantless searches or smoking laws or media regulation, there's no party with a real libertarian or freedom agenda.

So why do they feel the need to hide behind a few sham libertarian positions? Why do party loyalists reward them for verbal idealism and legislative tyranny?
