Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh?

and why aren't we free to make that choice on our own?

we are free to make that decision?

when last i checked, stern was no longer on the free airwaves, but limbaugh is foisted into markets where is is openly detested, like boston.

again, why is this happening?

stern was the most successful broadcaster in history - i'm not being fanciful here - that guy sold TONS of product for his sponsors.

so, why can't i have the free market choice?

just an fyi- the radio waves do not belong to corporate america - they belong to the people.

if we can't depend on corporations to even keep the top rated radio show of all time on the air, what can we depend on them for?

the question is what would you rather like to hear on your RADIO on your way to work.

this is not a critique of my (very nice) car or cd (superbly diverse and in great taste) collection.

stay focused people!

stern (who is a known republican, by the way) was forced out off the free radio spectrum.

Stern, I guess and I agree with you, why should Windbag be free and we have to pay for Stern? Something is wrong here, people.

Stern chose to go to satellite radio because he felt his rights were being infringed and that he was a victim of the media. His feeling is that on satellite, he has more freedom. Good for him.

Rush, on the other hand, seems to lap up any attention he gets from the media, be it positive or negative. So he doesn't mind staying on terrestrial radio.

If I'm really tired on my way to work, I'd choose Rush first in a heartbeat. Slanted and elongated attacks, even if I agree with them to a certain extent, get me angry and help to keep me awake.

Would enjoy being able to listen to a balance on the public radio. Unfortunately since Clear Channel and the other mega-communications companies have monopolized radio markets throughout the US that balance is gone, conservative companies are buying up radio, TV, and newspapers in geographic areas to create a news and opinion blackouts of everything but their message. And a new pending FCC ruling is trying to give the conservative conglomerates even more unrestricted monopoly power.

Howard Stern made the choice to switch to satellite. I think it's a shame that there's censorship on the radio and on TV. We're grown-ups, for heaven's sake, so we should be able to listen to whatever we want to!

Stern.

Not that I like him, but....

But Stern took himself off free airwaves for a mega-stake in Sirius. Hasn't worked out all that well yet for him.

Hopefully Limbaugh will make the same mistake soon.

Rush and we are free to make that decision. Some would like to make that decision for you though.

Stern made the decision all on his own to go to satellite radio. By the way I pay to listen to Rush through his web site, my choice of course. If you really liked stern that much than give him some money and listen on satellite.
