Its a liklihood Puerto rico may someday qualify for statehood, but not in the near future i suspect. However, if we up here in Canada don't find a way to achieve national unity the USA may inherit by default the 2nd largest country in the world containing a wealth of richs with the largest supply of fresh water in the world. Right now we have 3 territories, 9 beaver and one frog all screaming me first and all at the same time.If it happens the downside of that arrangement is that you also get Quebec, you will have to learn patience if nothing else maybe thats a good thing, but God help you.

Doubt it, when it is much easier to be a territory and not have to live under all the BS laws that our government pumps out, while gaining most of the benefits.

Yeah, but I don't see it happening. There has always been talk of splitting Southern Oregon and Northern Cali into a state. I hope to god that never happens.
