Some of the possible plans boil down to the government picking up the cost of health /insurance/, not care. Corporate Welfare /and/ Socialized Medicine.

The issue isn't HEALTH CARE..... the issue is HEALTH INSURANCE. The government isn't ever going to 'take control' of health care. That's right wing radio propaganda. The HEALTH CARE system will stay the same. The only difference is that doctors and hospital will get paid in full, on time and nobody will be without coverage. Single payer HEALTH INSURANCE will be the most open, transparent and audited single entity in the country because both parties and all citizens will demand it. Everyone will pay something, but nobody will pay too much. It will be totally self supporting as such programs as Medicare and Medicade will be phased out. The 'conservatives' rave on about how this is 'socalized medicine'...it's not. it has nothing whatever to do with how people are treated by the medical profession. This is straight insurance with the added feature that nobody will be left out. The price per person will be less and the benefits better and you won't have to worry about being canceled if you leave your job or these days if your job leaves you. The current health insurers are not in favor of this because their cash cow will go the way of the buffalo...too bad....they can't or won't insure everyone and that's exactly what UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE will do! I recommend it!

i'm no longer a medical coverage enterprise and that i oppose that mess. have you ever each and every had to handle the DMV or IRS? nicely think of that comparable volume of forms yet jointly with your wellness care. Do you truly want congress in value of what coverage you're able to desire to have? And mandating it?

I think that they're not too worried about it. They've managed to get all the right policy makers on their books.

Universal healthcare:
Everyone is covered, everyone waits. Care is adequate.
Private healthcare:
Only some are covered. Wait time is minimal. Care is excellent.

They are afraid of it.
They stand to lose billions.
Hence single-payer through the US Govt is "bad" because insurance comapnies are a major contibutor to the GOP.
