Nope, we don't need more irrational people in power, religious nuts do as their told, even if their own children will suffer.

Jehovah's Witnesses are politically and nationalistically neutral.
Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses are well-known as law-abiding persons. The Scriptures also teach that obedience is owed to secular governments, which the bible calls "the superior authorities". Of course, such subjection is RELATIVE to the unrestricted allegiance which is owed to God.
(Romans 13:1) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God
(Acts 5:29) We must obey God as ruler rather than men

You cannot discriminate against a person because of their religious beliefs...I believe you already know that. However, Jehovah's witnesses are not politically inclined or motivated. That is something else that is apparently against their beliefs.

I don't agree with the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses, but I have to say that I'm glad that the U.S. Constitution allows members of all religions to run for public office.

Seems not worse than creationists in politics, thus.
If they follow the law still and keep it private, why not.

Why not? We've got a few Muslims in congress already, and the republic still stands.
