John Edwards was the first in his family to go to college. His father worked for a mill and his mom was a post office worker. Despite not being born a spoiled brat, he managed to graduate with honors from college and went on to be pretty succesful.

Any other candidates like that on the Republican or Democrat side?

I've seen this a lot lately from conservatives...

but, it seems to me that Iran would like to be a "bully" but simply doesn't have the capability...

I mean Iraq beat them in the 80s... and we rolled over the Iraqi army like a paper cup...

I mean maybe if they had nukes... maybe... but they are apparently years away from that still...

I notice every election pro lifers rally around the republicans but once elected, they back off.

As I understand it, the president has the power to appoint more justices to the court. Why have a nine justice court? Why not 11? or 13? That could shift the court in another direction. Why don't pro lifers insist on this?

I hear them talk about how each election will change the court forever, didn't Lincoln and FDR appoint more justices to get their way?

A few days ago, woman smeared with blood and screaming came within inches of the secretary of state. She belongs to an anti-war organization called Code Pink. She is now charged with multiple felonies for assualting a federal official.
