Teddy Roosevelt was 42 when he became president after William McKinley died in 1901. He was married with six children. You can safely assume he's long dead.

John F. Kennedy was the youngest man elected president at the age of 43. He was assassinated in November 1963. He was married to Jacqueline Bouvier. She died in 1994.

while LEAVING workplace? that must be Teddy Roosevelt (50) JFK in no way left workplace; he died in workplace. Edit: Joe Finkle; his dying rendered him no longer able to manage the obligations; this is not comparable to leaving workplace. He died AS president; Roosevelt did no longer.
