Because the voters allow it, and even encourage it. Remember, money and the media and all the usual suspects are all well and good, but only the voter can choose who is rewarded and punished.

Because often the blamed are the problem.
You cant solve problems when a President threatens a veto to every solution.
The only way to remove the biggest problem America has is to Impeach this President and his entire criminal gang.

If it is a game it is called "king of the hill". Right now instead of thinking about what the country needs we are, and our countries leaders are, only wanting to be king of the hill. All this regardless of what the majority of this country needs. My opinion, but I call em as I see em.

Because it seems that most politicians have made government a career. They are so indebted to the people and companies that pay for their quest to gain and keep power that they can't actually do what we elect them to do (represent us).

Because each side has a different solution to the problems, and usually won't compromise.
Take some issues like gay marriage. You're either for or against it. Same with abortion.

Mostly because of the hardcore right wingers who get a kick of hating "liberals" for wanting peace, empathy for the poor, etc.
The right feels tough hating the poor and the poor's helpers, hence all the namecalling and false accusations.
