Chances are Americans would want to destroy the country responsible, then would realize that what happened to us is what we've been doing to other countries. We seem to think that we can destroy countries and those people, our victims, should thank us for it. Perhaps if some other country gave us a dose of shock and awe, we'd be more empathetic toward our conquests. 9/11 was an annoyance. Nothing compared to a true military invasion.

What kind of insane question is that? It would be healthy for no country to experience a war on its own soil.

I would certainly would not like to see that happen.
But then again,it would be a beneficial way of cleaning house.
I think you might have a point of not getting involved in events of the world. That way we can stand back and wait until were attack, and nothing to fight back with because wrong thinking people like you and some of the noodle brains in congress, stripped the military of being prepared. By the time congress gets though with this country anyone could just walk in and "take over with out firing a shot." Shazaam! echos from the past....

it is what Ronnie tried to finish with SDI...he needed a technologies that would want to remove the weapon of the nuke from the international arsenal. The very last conflict fought on US soil changed into ww2. Us territority changed into occupied by technique of Japan, and we replied. We did finally beat them off persons soil. We did use nukes in ww2 to end that conflict. Japan and Germany both tried to fabricate a nuke. Japan were given closer, and changed into interior a million/2 365 days of having a operating dirty bomb, and the skill to provide it. Fortunatly, we nuked them first. We for sure did not discover this out till after the conflict. using the nukes kept American and eastern lives. more advantageous would have died on both area if we had no longer used the nukes. i'd like to stay in a international with out nukes.

Yes and no.

Yes, because I feel many Americans have no real understanding of war or how our military actions affect others.

No, because the effects of any war are terrible and I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone, in any country.

I know my answer somewhat contradicts itself, I just can't think of a better way to explain it.

War is not, has not nor ever will be healthy for any country.
No one benefits from war, other than the armaments industry, and those doing the reconstruction of a war ravaged land.

Not a pretty sight.

How self absorbed do you have to be to wish war on your own country so that you might fantasize about the smug satisfaction of seeing your political views vindicated?

Of course not. The last time that happened was our Civil War and it was horrible for both sides.

It would not be healthy in any sense. However, it would make some of these gung-ho, flag-waving warmongering types to think twice about their blind support for waging preemptive invasions of other nations.
