Why?

Philip H,
Poor Iraqi children are being taken taken care of with American tax dollars, or as you would refer to it as socialized medicine. Way to dodge the question, eh?

No.

Otherwise, they wouldn't show the appalling indifference to the Iraqi children, whose freedoms they profess to be fighting for. The Pentagon shouldn't be in charge of rebuilding Iraq, the State Department should be.

But I agree that the Republicans don't care that much about children. As for abortion, well, in the the first trimester, the baby doesn't even have a fully working brain to feel pain with or even understand the concept of pain.

Republicans and democrats care for only two things: power and money. Republicans especially, although the democrats are pretty corrupt.

I would hope so. Poor Iraqi children will, on average, have it far worse than poor American children. A dollar will do a lot more to help a poor Iraqi child than a poor American child. There are a lot of reasons people should be directing more effort to help poor Iraqi children. If what you say is true, that seems to be a reason to support Republicans.

Here we go again with no change in the status. This time instead of children at the Congress we brought toys. Everything is as it was before, already in place it is called SCHIPs, been in place for sometime and still one third of parents who are eligible for it or Medicare have not enrolled. Before we add a higher level of income to an existing program we need to insure that the current (poorest of the poor) children are covered. Are you interested in children or interested in bashing bush? I am for the children of this country and strongly believe that the House should play the most important part (both parities). They have districts; if they could go door to door to get votes and drive the poorest to the voting booths then by god they can do the same for the children in health care. They and their staff have plenty of time away from Washington to do just that, four weeks off for Labor Day would have been a perfect time.

There's nothing wrong with caring about the poor children of other countries. Or do you think they should just be left to suffer and die? Where's all the compassion for children in need other than our own?

In the first few months of this war, in an effort to kill Saddam Hussien, we bombed every multi story building, every electrical generator, every watermain in Iraq, killing and maiming 50,000 Iraqi children, blowing off their limbs. American censors didn't allow us to see the carnage, but the rest of the world saw it.
The Bush Admin. is desperately trying to score points in the Muslim world by pretending to care about Iraqi civilians now. It's all for show.

Republicans care about ALL children. That's why they don't abort them .
That's why they don't want Socialized medicine because they KNOW the PARENTS are the best qualified to make decisions about the health care of the child.
That is why they want people to WORK for a real living so the Socialists that want to control your lives are NOT in a position to force you to come to them for the health care THEY dictate.

No, they care about poor American children more. That's why they don't bomb them nearly as often.
