They will move to another country. Do very many conservatives feel this way? And if the majority of them do wouldn't it be a wonderful country if Hillary or Obama wins? I suggest they move to Iraq since they can't quit harping about how wonderful a place it is now.

A lady liberal wrote a lot of letters to the White House
complaining about the treatment of a captive insurgent (terrorist)
being held in Guantanamo Bay.

She received back the following reply:

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20016

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter roundly criticizing our treatment
of the Taliban and Al Qaeda detainees currently being held at Guantanamo
Bay, Cuba.

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinion
was heard loud and clear here in Washington. You'll be pleased to learn
that, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, the Department of Defense
is creating a new division of the Terrorist Retraining Program, to be called the
"Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers" program, or "LARK" for
short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have
decided to place one terrorist under your personal care. Your personal detainee
has been selected and scheduled for transportation under heavily armed
guard to your residence next Monday. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud
(you can just call him Ahmed) is to be cared for pursuant to the
standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint.

It will likely be necessary for you to hire some assistant
caretakers. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of
care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommended in
your letter.
Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that
your sensitivity to what you described as his "attitudinal problem" will
help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in
describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand
that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling.

Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand
combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or
nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these
skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide variety of
explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to
keep those items locked up, unless (in your opinion) this might offend
him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except
sexually), since he views females as a subhuman form of property. This
is a particularly sensitive subject for him and he has been known to show
violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the new dress
code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come
to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka -- over time. Just remember
that it is all part of "respecting his culture and his religious beliefs" --
wasn't that how you put it?

Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate it when folks like
you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job. You take good
care of Ahmed - and remember...we'll be watching.

Good luck!

Cordially, your friend,

Don Rumsfeld.

I think the extra CO2 let off of the wild fires from 8 years ago increased the greenhouse effect, which damaged the ozone, which caused global warming, which heated up the support beams, and thereby caused the collapse of the trade centers.

Kind of makes you wonder why the libs continue to live in the USA. Certainly they have the right to dissent but who would purposely live in such a horrible country?

I dont normally agree much with Senator Ted Kennedy. I certainly opposed him on the illegal immigration issue. But he is exactly correct in opposing the attorney general nominee who approves of torture.
Torture as we all know is unamerican, and having the top law enforcement officer in the country..the one in charge of protecting rights of citizens, and enforcing the constitution come out in his bid for nomination and giving his blessing to torture....and everyone shrugging and accepting it, would set a dangerous precedent on top of all the other ones that have already occurred.

Well done senator.....at least on this one issue.

Amendment XX of the US Constitution states that the terms of the president and vice-president end at noon on the 20th day of January. Assuming that neither man has died, resigned, or been removed from office by that date, will Bush/Cheney leave office peacefully, voluntarily, and according to the Constitution on that day or will they try and remain in power?

Or maybe she's channeling Hanoi John Kerry: She was for it, before she was against it?

WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton's campaign said late Wednesday that she supports New York Gov.'s Eliot Spitzer's plan for illegal immigrant driver's licenses, a clarification required after a twisted campaign performance Tuesday night left people guessing her position.

I think that Bush was simultaneously flying all three airplanes, and right before they crashed, he was transported by Martians into a classroom so he would have an alibi. That's why he didn't jump up when he was told about the wreck. He already knew.

P.S. Then the Martians transported Bills balls onto Hillary's body.

Any other ideas how it happened?

Does anyone else agree?

If they stay home and refuse to vote because Giuliani is the nominee - or Thompson or Romney (who they do not trust either on this issue) - then the Democrats win and a pro-choice President will be in place.

If they come out, hold their nose, and vote against the Democrats anyway, and a Republican wins, then they will still likely have a pro-choice President, or one who has flip flopped on the issue and can't be trusted to stand firm.

I would love to hear from these voters in particular as to their thinking on what is the best course of action, as well as other's opinion on this GOP problem. I can't imagine being a one issue voter when we currently have so many issues to deal with, but amazingly there are millions of them. Will they vote (or not vote) their principles when the outcome will make them unhappy no matter who wins? Or is it all just talk and they'll vote anyway in the end?
