I don't know. They keep telling that to combat veterans too.

Because they realize that the 45 year old can be pro-war, as he won't be drafted - the 20 somethings will.

You have to understand that their minds have been corrupted by some ' brilliant' professors, who are so socialist that they study the "Communist Manifesto", and those who have succumbed to this scatology, have rejected the teachings / instructions of maturity / knowledge / experience / family / & history !!!

Its not THEIR war. Thsi war is not supported by Americans--except for the religious right out of anti-Muslim bigotry adn the neocons because they think its "macho" to attack a country that never attacked us.

If some of these chickenhawks want to actually go over to Iraq and fight--let them. But they needn't expect anyone else--20-something liberals or anyone else--to do it. It is not their war, and it is not Americas's war.

Last I heard the "20something libs" were all AGAINST the war.

Which means to most logical thinking people, don't fight it.

Also, you should keep in mind that Condi's diplomats who are refusing to deploy to Iraq are generally made up of the children of the wealthy aristocrisy in this country (Harvard and Yale types).

If they aren't willing to go when things are getting so much "better" in Iraq, what the hell does that tell you?

Here's your reality check: It is 45 year old (And older) cons who are sending 20 year olds (Also often conservatives) to fight their war, a war which has no real purpose or meaning.

I am not sure what you are asking here. I am a 26yr old Lib and I don't think ANYONE should be fighting in any war at the moment.

Because they don't know too much. They don't know that you couldn't go even if you wanted to because of your age. They also presumably believe that you actually have to have done something to have an opinion on it. This is a typical lib mantra. It's a bunch of words that take very little thought but are easy to repeat.

I served and my son is serving. Get over yourself. We are in this together whether we like it or not. Being liberal or conservative has nothing to do with it.

Because they didn't support the war in the first place. I think their message is that, "If you are so gung-ho about this war, YOU go fight it." Doesn't seem like much of a mystery to me. And besides...you know the ages of posters HOW??
