E. let my aides and military commanders assess the situation and develop plans and options to present to me.

I would also sit back and let people do their jobs with minimal interference.

C would be about the worst thing you can do. Those orders have to be obeyed even if they are not appropriate for 'ground truth' as opposed to what you _think_ is happening.

If I was President of the United States and this Happened to me. I would first excuse myself from the classroom. Fly directly to Washington D.C. instead of zig-zagging across the country like a coward and I would immediately Address the nation and not wait 9 hours while our nation waited in fear with out any real leadership.

E.) Wait for the protocol.

All kidding aside, and I am not an apologist for our Naked Emperor, what, EXACTLY was he to do at that time? Get hysterical? Run around with a pistol? WHAT?

I believe he reacted as he should have. He waited until there were protocols in place, and he began responding.

By the way: You may think he's a dummy, but I'll bet his grammar is far better than yours.

I'd calmy stand up and say, "Excuse me, boys and girls, I am the president, and i must leave now to do my job"
No reason to panic the little kiddies.
I wouldn't sit there for 12 minutes staring stupidly out into space.
So..my answer is C

Rip off my shirt to reveal my flightsuit, spring out the nearest window, and with my super powers, fly to the nearest airfield, commandeer a jet fighter and fly off to shoot down the bad guys !!!! Is that what you expected him to do? Or take time (5 minutes) to gather your thoughts and not alarm anyone, and then react cooly and calmly to the situation, like Bush did.

Well, of course I'd ground all air traffic the second I heard that. So, I guess I'd have to go with C from those choices.
