Bush vetoed the health insurance bill citing its cost of $35 billion over 5 years, while the Iraq War has cost cost us over $400 billion and it's still rising.

Vetoing healthcare for kids? It is morally wrong to abort a cluster of cells the size of a peanut, but it is ok for kids to suffer from disease and or injury, both of which we'll shape their long term development and options? Making parents choose between the kids health and other bills? Damn. Please clarify, especially if you can tell how the "free market" will take care of this issue.

The USA is only a small part of America but seems to have hijacked the name for itself, much to the chagrin of Canada and of the countries to the south. And why does it call 'appropriated' places like Hawaii (which are nowhere near) 'America'?

Your thoughts please?

The only true outage the Demo-nazi's have against Limbaugh was that he dared to expose those two frauds for what they really are; phony soliders and phony patriots. When will they ever learn?

What do you think of these proposals?
Are we going to let the government in our homes telling us what we can and cannot do? Isn't the government just going to far with controlling us in our own homes?
How far will it the governemt go, and can we let it happen?

Stalin and Mao weren't REAL Communbists. REAL Communists only do good, they don't massacre their own people!

Communism was practiced by the original Christians. Christians today should adhere to "that old time religion" and support Communism. Those who own the productive assets of society should be expected, as their religious duty, to give up all their holdings. Like Jesus recommended. These would be owned in common by everyone. Only this will bring in the Kingdom on Earth.

Futile efforts at 5exual repression have been tried for centuries-- THAT won't work. Time to really give Communism a try. It's the Christian thing to do!

Does anyone have a problem with a "war tax" to pay for our Iraq invasion and occupation? Shouldn't we be paying for it now rather than running up a debt? If supporters of this occupation had to pay for it out of their pockets now, would they feel different about it? There is only a small percentage of our population that is sacrificing now (our military members and their families).

I find her $5000 per baby savings plan utterly disgusting.

It will cost the government nothing during her reign as queen, because they're just promissory notes that will come payable 18 years later. So it'll be some other president's problem.

But that puts it directly in line with the timeframe where the baby boomers have decimated social security and it is on the verge of bankrupcy. And suddenly, on top of that, there will be this huge obligation to all these children who have turned 18 and want their money too.

Which means, after the baby boomers got their share (of course), social security benefits will have to be minimized or eliminated altogether. Which means, screw our generation, they got theirs.

I am getting tired of politicians who write checks that will be payable by someone else.

How about making those $5000 bonds paid for immediately by taxing baby boomers to pay for it NOW? They're here to save the world, so why not? They should be thrilled.

No?

Rush lied in accusing and then defending his "phony soldier" statment. He accused Brian McGough of being a phony solder. Rush needs the Imus treatment.

it's just typical republican hating of our soldiers. They defend the *need* for Blackwater by saying our solderis are "not good enough".

republicans have dishonored America and our brave soldiers. This disgusts me.

I've been saying for awhile that he would. I think that the nations of the U.S.A.beleaguered world should declare the Americas military a terrorist faction!

Seriously though if your terrorist leader decides to do that The democratically controlled congress should grow the balls to cut military funding.
if he wants to war with the world then they have the respnsibility to snip the war mongering purse strings!

Just a few snippets of the loving leftists concerning our men and women fighting:

Senator Harry Reid: “That this war is lost, and that the surge is not accomplishing anything.”

John Kerry: “If you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Congressman John Murtha: “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”

Senator Dick Durbin: “If I read this to you and didn't tell you it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have happened by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags or some mad regime, Pol Pot or others that had no concern for human beings.”
