Rush lied in accusing and then defending his "phony soldier" statment. He accused Brian McGough of being a phony solder. Rush needs the Imus treatment.

it's just typical republican hating of our soldiers. They defend the *need* for Blackwater by saying our solderis are "not good enough".

republicans have dishonored America and our brave soldiers. This disgusts me.

Not only that but both all the members of this Administration plus all the Right-Wing Hate Monger Talk-Show Hosts were a bunch of Chicken hawks! Except for Bush (And this is debatable), no one has served in the military. They have no clue as to what it is like to lay you life on the line for your country! They have no right to judge ANY soldier whether they agree with them or not. They have the free speech right to say it, but we have the right to ignore them as people who have to rely on others to protect their butts! and are too chicken to defend us themselves!

He has now resorted to changing the transcripts (Clips) of what he said because he realizes how much he screwed up! He took out the part where he said "Phony Soldiers" He also said the soldiers joined to be in Iraq. Guess he thinks we are stupid and we would not notice (Of course Bush has been doing this for 7 years and we let him get away with it!

He and the other hate-mongers like him need to be kicked off the air. They do nothing but spread lies, bigotry and hatred. It is time to throw their azzes out!

Your handle is "ex righty"? I think that is not entirely accurate. For if you were a righty, you would at least be familiar with what the truth is and wouldn't be trying to disseminate this lie put out by the left.

Having heard exactly what was said, Mr. Limbaugh in no way impugned the honor of any US soldier. His definition of a phony soldier is what it has always been, someone who pretends to have served. The people in question did not wear the uniform. Some were washed out of basic training, others never even made it that far. They all have one thing in common. The say they served when they didn't.

I certainly believe it is far worse to have not served and say you did, than not serve and say you didn't. Yes, Rush was not in the military. Were Bill, Hillary, Obama, Mitt, Fred, Rudy? I don't eliminate some from being worthy of praise if they didn't serve, they get the boot though, if they say they served when they didn't.

Palin just has to look into a mirror to commune with real "retardation". She is a political prostitute, and has no principles, conscience, or BRAINS at all. And Limbaugh is a filthy scum bag. Who cares what attitudes slime have toward each other?

You are completely distorting the facts. Rush was right (for once). People masquerading as soldiers and spreading false lies about America's involvement in Iraq are treasonous! You're so quick to attack Rush, but how do you feel about phony soldiers telling lies? People like you love to point out Bush's lies, well what about these people?! Is it OK to pretend to be a soldier and lie? Because that's the impression I get from Democrats, that it's OK to pretend to be a US soldier and make up false accounts about the US' actions if it goes against the war.

Fawn... But did Bush or anyone in his cabinet serve? What about those who dodge the drafts? Aren't they just as bad as those who lied about serving? I say let's get all these people in the same barrel.

Will you condemn ABC for airing a story about 'phony soldiers' 2 days before Rush's comments?

He was talking about Jesse Macbeth and here is a list of other people pretending to be veterans from the USAO in VA..

“As a Vietnam Veteran, and the father of a decorated Army officer currently serving, I feel very keenly the damage done by Jesse Macbeth and these other fakes,” said Jeff Sullivan, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington. “Macbeth’s lies fueled hostility to our servicemen in Iraq and here at home. Those who falsely claim medals for heroism, cheapen the recognition of our true war heroes.”

No, and please don't make me run down the list of Democratic military blunders, it would take me all day and it's off topic. So, put that pointed finger away.

First, you liberals wanted to hush Michael Savage. Now you want to hang Limbaugh from the nearest tree. It's funny how you stand behind your amendment rights only when you agree with the spoken words. If it's not in line with the daily kos's morning propaganda, it's "hate speech." Regardless, it's still freedom of speech whether you like it or not. You cannot pick and choose your way to a total fascist society.

While I do not like Rush Limbaugh, what does it matter if he lies? And as much money as he is making for the stations that broadcast him, he could take a baseball bat to the station managers' grandmother and still have a job.
