This is an actual person that I know.

Has long hair
Has tattoos
Is 40-years-old and still lives at home with his mother
Listens to heavy metal music
He doesn't work
He doesn't go to church
He supports the troops
He watches Rush Limbaugh religously
Only watches Fox News
Lives off of an inheritence his father gave him.
Is racist.

If I told you his political views, the picture would be more clear. This is based solely on what's on the surface.

My proof that he's racist? I know the guy personally.

Dennis Miller has long hair, so does Gene Simmons and many other Liberals and Conservatives.

Most Conservatives do not get earrings, Piercings or tattoos. If they have a tattoo, they were done prior to converting from liberalism. But this could be his preference. You cannot judge a book by it's cover

Conservatives get an education and are independent in their thinking and would only live at home to provide for an invalid mom. But then again so do liberals

Conservatives have Jobs and pay taxes. But so do a lot of Liberals

You do not have to be religious, just have good values and morals to be a Conservative, or a Liberal.

He cannot WATCH Limbaugh, he is on the Radio!

What is your proof he is racist? I have been accused of being racist too. Why? I don't believe Jesse and Al are doing right by American blacks. I believe in what Clarence Thomas, J.C. Watts, Condoleeza Rice, Ward Connerly, Walter Williams, et al are doing for the American blacks. So, I am called racist for believing what "the wrong thinking" blacks believe.

So I ask again, what proof do you have he is racist?

And oh by the way, shall I give you a list of qualities of someone I know who is a liberal. He doesn't live at home. He slashed the tires of some vans that were to take voters to the polls on election day. He is in jail. So I guess if you are trying to say your example is typical, then can we accept my example and being typical as well?

Again, I ask, what is your proof? What you have given is not proof. Open a text book and learn about proofs. You will see yours not only fell far short, it never got out of the starting gate.

Considering his source of information I would say he is conservative.

The other thinsg that you notate there is no way to determine. Both liberals and conservatives live on inheritance money, both can have long hair, both can have tattoos, both can be 40 years old and living at home. both can listen to heavy music. The point is everything else you say gives no direction of a persons political views.

By watching Faux News and listening to Rush Limbaugh he is one very confused hippy. I don't see how he could fit well into either lable. What his heartfelt political views are will define him better. Still whether Conservative or Liberal he can be right in some ways and incorrect in others. It takes more than just one side to make a solid foundation.

Don't be so wrapped up in labels. The man clearly has issues, but don't try to use him to represent all conservatives or all liberals. Generalizations are the mark of sloppy thinking and name-calling doesn't help anything.
