I know from personal experience that weath doesnt necesarily equate to intelligience and vice versa. So, doesnt it stand to reason that many government positions are being wasted on the mentally unfortunate?

You dump an avalanche of facts on them and they dismiss it as propaganda. To them, even though human causation of global warming remains unproven, you're anti-science if you don't jump on the bandwagon; even though revenue is skyrocketing, the tax cuts were a bad idea; even though the BLS data is clear that everyone has benefited from the strong economy over the last five and twenty five years, they insist not only that "only the rich benefited" but that somehow that came at someone else's expense - - - as if, if my boss came in to my office and gave me a $5K raise, that's 1.6 thousandths of a cent less for everyone else. No amount of Econ 101 can convince them that it isn't a zero sum game, that even if only the already-rich HAD benefited (despite all the data to the contrary), THAT would not be a "bad" thing because it wouldn't have come at anyone's expense.

If the sky needs to be green for a Lib's conclusion to be right, the Lib will insist that the sky is green.

I have noticed that there are some conservatives on here who get ticked off when any non-American posters criticize Bush or his policies. Indeed, some of the conservatives here argue that non-American posters have no business criticizing Bush, since they're not from the US. Why is it, then, that these very same conservatives feel that they themselves have the right to criticize leaders of other countries, such as Chávez or Castro, for example? It's really a double standard. Not only that, but if anything, the non-Americans have more of a right to criticize Bush than the Americans have to criticize the other leaders, since as the leader of the free world, Bush is more likely to have more influence in global affairs than leaders like Castro or Chávez.

Hmm, isn't this the same clown who came to the USA and criticized it's President? Typical lefty: he can dish it out but can't take it

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- President Hugo Chavez has said that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela will be expelled from the country.

Government opponents argue Chavez -- a close ally of Cuban leader Fidel Castro -- is becoming increasingly authoritarian and cracking down on dissent as he steers oil-rich Venezuela toward what he calls "21st-century socialism."

"President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela will be expelled from the country"

Was Hugo Chavez ever expelled for criticizing the Bush Administration during his stay in the US?

Does Hugo Chavez think that he is making matters better in his country with these antics?

If there are any Hugo Chavez supporters on Yahoo....PLEASE explain me your defense of this man. I am sooo interested in hearing what you have to say.

Bush, and the other hawks at the pentagon were planning the Iraq war before Bush even took his oath. With all that planning, why did he not have any plans to fix the VA also? Does he really care that little about out troops? It was bad enough sending them to war based on lies, and sending them without the proper body armor, vehicle armor, and weapons. But to then deny them proper health care, and medical benefits is inexcuasable. What is wrong with bush?

Their crimes include shooting an unarmed man while on duty (the suspect was fleeing from them), and then covering up the evidence of their shooting. These were serious offenses, no doubt, and nobody has suggested that they should go completely un-punished.
