The VA has been backlogged since before Vietnam and you want to blame this on Bush?
This is typical of the leftist view on everything in this country. This story or one similar to it has been getting sent out every year since I was young (at least the last twenty years or so) and I know Bush wasn't president that whole time. As a matter of fact, both Republican and Democrats have been in office while this stuff has been going on.

As a Combat Veteran of The Persian Gulf War (I was Infantry, not a REMF) I am sick and tired of all the cry babies who are saying that they are suffering from PTSD because they were sitting behind a desk in a building somewhere and the power went out or because they were on a ship in the Gulf and couldn't get Ice for their soda. Yes, I have heard those exact stories in Stars and Stripes while I sat in an undisclosed location in the desert of Saudi Arabia and after I participated in the Anti Armour Ambush on Highway 8 which destroyed a massive amount of vehicles, and after I lived through serious bouts of sleep deprivation due to actually being in combat (you sleep too much, you die) I come back to listen to all of these little pencil pushers tell everyone all the horror they had to live through because they could only call home every couple of days or because the PX ran out of their favorite chips.

I close this with one last question. What have you done to support our troops? I only ask this because I am currently writing this from an undisclosed location in Iraq where I am supporting them as a civilian contractor. Yes, I am getting paid money to be here but, I also have a family to support.

You can say I am full of Sh*t and you have that right, but, I know that I sleep very well at night and I tell it like it really is because that is the only way to tell it. Yes, you can look at my profile and try to find out if I am telling the truth but you will never know for sure. I do though. Have a nice day.

Yes, among not sending them in with full body armor and vehicle protection at the start of the start of this sham of a war.

Imagine this terrible nightmare: Troops still don't have sufficient armor protection, 19 billion has gone missing and close to $500 million in U.S. was stolen from a Baghdad bank. This nightmare is actually true and you can bet Bushit', Cheney and friends have this cash in personal bank accounts overseas. Meanwhile, the troops get shafted.

Typical republican (don't deserve caps) move. The same people will never fight in a war they start and enjoy watching everyone getting slaughtered from the back row seats.

Unimaginable, can anyone believe all of this is actually happening right now?

Peace, afterall, what else is there unless the only purpose for you on this world is to make $$.

the examples of how the administration that claims to "support the troops", does not, could fill the total amount of print that appears in the sunday New York Times. but, if what you hope to do is educate the public, what we must first do is get beyond the blame and promote solutions. the "other side" will always attempt to frame the discussion in terms they can manipulate. thus the Iraq "adventure" is not a solid debate about the value of the administrations plan (or lack thereof), but, accusations about not supporting the troops and who is or is not patriotic. the Iraq situation and our involvement there will change. we can speed that day by staying on subject.

Bush and his entire administration should be thrown in prison for the countless deaths their actions have caused!!

For a man [GWB] who was afraid to go overseas to fight for/protect his country, he sure doesn't have a problem sending our troops overseas to face possible death, for the invasion on a country based on LIES!!

Just another example of how the current administration gives our troops lip service while stabbing them in the back.

I think we should bring our troops back and outsource all the Republicans to Iraq and then cancel their passports...and yes, that includes D&D (Dubya & Dick)...

Oh, after they leave, I'd also like to cancel their passports so that they can't back and pollute our wonderful country.

So by your wording you want them not to be able to sue "By not passing legislation preventing them from sueing" Your wording makes it sound bad that we would let them sue.

Bush is a great President.

You are very unpatriotic asking these question.
