"President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela will be expelled from the country"

Was Hugo Chavez ever expelled for criticizing the Bush Administration during his stay in the US?

Does Hugo Chavez think that he is making matters better in his country with these antics?

If there are any Hugo Chavez supporters on Yahoo....PLEASE explain me your defense of this man. I am sooo interested in hearing what you have to say.

I knew someone would use that technicality and about Foxnews..

You know what this says about you...
1. You would go out of your way to justify an act
2. You are in denial.

And for you all who says don't worry about the other country....

Yeah normally I wouldn't but he has taken active measures to try influence people against us, i.e. Danny Glover, Cindy Sheehan, Harry Belafonte etc..
Iran, Bolivia, Cuba, who all have a following of lunatics and irrational people.

And I really suspect that when you say "Don't worry about another countries' President" what you are really saying is "I like Hugo Chavez and I just don't want to be critical of him,...so this is my way of diverting attention away from the issue"

Its a typical arguementive tactic used my those in denial. I see right through it.

As long as I have free speech in MY country, I could not care less about threats issued by the freely elected President of another country.

You need to pay more attention to your own country and forget about Chavez unless you are planning to visit soon. Bush recently made it possible to throw someone in prison for saying they are against the war in Iraq. Someday you may wish you had Chavez for President because he is no better than Bush and probably a little more human.

Hugo Chavez knows communism has failed and will fail, but it's the only system that may give him absolute powers.

This is why he doesn't allow critics.

Hugo Chavez needs to shut his mouth and worry about the people in his country who are in poverty. He is a big dictator and a hypocrite.

Actually, Hugo criticized Bush at the U.N. which technically isn't America. (It's considered international territory).

And to answer you question, no it is not hypocritical.

Also, LoL, Fox News link.
