bother even being here? Do people really have such a great need to have their own opinion reinforced by blocking dissenters?

These quotes are from different people. Can you name them ?

Quote # 1

"The public school system is damned. Let me tell you how radical I am. Christian students should be in Christian schools. If you have to sell your car, live in a smaller house, or work a night job, put your child in Christian schools. If you can't afford it, home school."

Quote # 2

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith..we need believing people."

I have talked to some friends from Boston and they tend to think that the unions play the biggest roll and it's not always on the up and up.
I would like to hear facts, but I don't mind hearing your theories either.

I must admit, I haven't been following her campaign much (or any other candidates for that matter). However, I hear so much negativity surrounding her and whatever she represents. I was wondering what some of your thoughts are on her.

"ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" i was talking to the guy next door and he said that was nothing but BS.

Big Tobacco, BIg Oil, Big Pharma. What next? What are you people who use these terms gonna do when you regulate and tax them out of existence? Complain because nobody is there to supply you with the products you want? What happens when these companies leave the US and we no longer have the tax base and the people who were employed by them? What happens then, huh?

I find it almost unusual for a person with a rational capacity to somehow disbelieve the fact that there is a significant correlation between CO2 in the atm and human consumption/pollution. This is about environmental control and dramatically reducing our large scale exploitation of the natural world we live in.

Even more astrounding than supporting Exxon, people are against using discarded embryos for embryonic stem cell research - which holds much more promises than adult or umblical cord stem cells.

If you oppose one of these two or both please explain why and if you support one, it would be better is mentioned it

When and why did people start with the name calling instead of honestly debating the issues? You know: Dirty Liberals or Dirty Neocons, or things along those lines. And why are there so many questions with False Data and no Sources?
Do any of you think we will ever get back to Honest Debates?

On the surface it sounds good . But after looking deeper I wonder . I wonder what'll happen when your state finds a great Senator , but then must say good-bye prematurely because of a law . Or when you get a great Congressman that really does do his or her job only to say bye-bye after whatever limit is imposed .

And just how long would you have searched for a great Senator or Congressman ?.. . .. . .And how long would you have to search for another , but in the meantime suffering for years searching and knowing it was a law that you supported that got rid of a good one ?!?!
I'm very interested in reading your answers and SOLUTIONS !!
Thank you .

You Obama supporters should love this!

Excerpts:
WASHINGTON - One of the first 527 committees formed in support of a 2008 presidential candidate is Vote Hope, created by San Francisco attorney Steve Phillips, who is also the president and founder of the liberal PowerPAC.

Vote Hope bills itself as a PAC in support of Sen. Barack Obama.

The most well-known 527 was 2004's "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth," the group that targeted John Kerry and his Vietnam military record.

That all these conservative and liberal zealots are doing is making the moderate majority sick of all of their gas, and lighting a fire under them so that they will get out and force the country to be led by common sense, rather than liberal or conservative dogma?

REPUBLICANS HAVE LIED LOUD AND CLEAR THAT THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH CONSERVATISM. Six years of total Republican contol in congress and the Presidency brought bigger government, federal budget deficits, meddling in world affairs leading to bogging down american troops for 4 years and potentially many more to come, more pork spent on the hill then any other time in American history, a falling dollar, and, record gold price increases (which stem from world instability).
