No, the world should NEVER forgive America for all the evil it has wrought in the last six years.
It was inexcusable for Bush to liberate the Afghans from the tyranny of the Taliban. Those Afghan women who had a lock of hair showing from under their stifling burkas probably deserved a good beating now and then. And besides, these people have brown skin. BROWN SKIN!! Who cares about brown skinned people anyway?
We should hang our heads in shame for liberating the Iraqis fro the Butcher of Baghdad. Those stupid Kurds who love Bush should be shot for treason. Everyone knows that Iraqis are incapable of handling democracy. They need a stern dictator to keep them in line. Arabs aren't ready for democracy yet. They are too primitive.
Bush should be impeached for keeping the U.S. from suffering any more attacks since 9-11. We need more attacks on U.S. soil so we can be properly contrite for all the evil we have done.

No. I don't think what has happened under Bush can be easily forgotten. I don't think it's up to the next President to make things better. He/She won't have much of an impact. It's rather shocking the amount of innocent Iraqi civilians that have been killed, displaced, children made as orphans, no proper food or water, no proper shelter over their heads, no means of work etc etc.
The US should try to at least help the Iraqi people by taking more in. I just saw on CNN that since October 2006, only 71 Iraqis on the UN Human rights official displaced list have been allowed residency in the US. Last month, it was only one person.

This is a very important question. America derives substantial power by being perceived as the force of right in the free world. On 12 September 2001, we had the world in the palm of our hand. All we had to do is what was right. Invading Afghanistan was right. Going after bin Ladin and AQ was right. Attempting to swindle our friends into an unjustified war was wrong. Abu was wrong. Gitmo is wrong. Renditions are wrong.
Consequently, you are correct; it will take America much to recover the prestige it lost in the last six years. Nevertheless, we will do it. We recovered from Viet Nam; we will recover from Bush, et al.
America is still very popular overseas. Bush policies are not. Believe it or not, our foreign friends do make the distinction.

We have forgiven Japan for bombing Pearl Harbor haven't we?!? And they have forgiven us for dropping the bomb on Hiroshima. Maybe not forgiven, but at least been able to move on and have diplomatic relations.
Life moves on. We haven't started any world wars, yet from the 2 that have occurred, most countries have been able to get past it and look to the future. We had the Cold War with Russia and now 'get along' with them.
I'm not saying everyone will like us, but in the grand scheme of things, what we have done barely constitutes being forgiveable compared to other countries actions.

I've been wondering something similar to this also. Many Americans don't care what other countries think of us. I do not like our reputation as being "Bullies" and foolish. Our relationships with other countries are very important. We are not a self-sufficient country like many want us to believe. Yes the next President will definately have his/her hands full.

no, the world hates America, well USA because America is the whole continent, the only country that doesn't hate the US is Mexico, these 2 are like brothers although US don't want to give legal residence to all the illegal immigrants, but still are like brothers, if Venezuela and Cuba start a war against the US I'm sure that Mexico would join the US and other nations to defeat them,

The world shouldn't be mad at America because the government didn't screw them, they screwed us. Hopefully our next President will set things right. But it is going to take some time.

The world, probably. Bush, no. Just hope and prey that Mitt Romney doesn't get elected, rumor has it that he wants George's brother Jeb as his running mate, and if anything should ever happen to Romney, guess who would be president.
I think the whole Bush family should just find a remote island somewhere and have their own little country to F*** up.

I think you are wrong. I do not care what other people in the world think of the US. There is nothing to forgive. No one is qualified to forgive. There has been no damage done. If your middle name is "liberal" I won't be surprised.

The next President does have his plate full of worms. As for what has happened, it will be a faded memory in no time.
