I think it's not so much party loyalty as it is the ignorance of the voters and I regretfully include myself. How often do we actually pull up voting records to see what type of representation we're receiving?
Many of us are doing it now only because of the mess that this country is in. Hopefully, we've learned a lesson. I know that I have.

I would say yes, because which ever side of the aisle your on you can always think of a reason or excuse why its different or someone else got away with worst. If we actually prosecuted them like we would anyone else in this country that would make a high difference. But with that kind of power you feel nothing can touch you.

Especially when the criminals are in the majority. Like the 6yrs of GOP rule. Not one congressional inquiry or hearing into any questionable Bush & Co activity.. CIA leak, no-bid contracts, run-up to Iraq, Katrina...you name it .

People, have, I think, been able to understand that there are some folks qualified to lead, and others not so much.
Call it a "herd" mentality, if you please. But a real democracy has historically brought us tyranny.
I think our Constitutional checks and balances still works. And that we should be getting back to basics with that.

Party loyalties have nothing to do with corruption & greed in polititians. The polititian is corrupt he should resign & not disgrace his/her party any further, eg Williams.
