what would another president have done?

ok just for arguments sake. say that instead of having a GOP leader, we had a left wing president. what do you think the left wing president would have done right after 9/11?

Went into Afganistan and found Osama Ben Lauden
Not got side tracked with Iraq who clearly was not involved in the 9/11 terriorists attack.
Focused on who is most likely to do that again?
Saddam Hussian was only a terriorist to his own people.
As half the leaders in Africa are. We never realized how smart Daddy Bush was to not go after him.
It was like hitting a hornets nest. Also it side tracked us from the real threats to the world who are now growing in Afganistan.

Ask for Gods forgiveness and stop invading foreign lands
without knowing the facts. The Curse of all those little children
and the sufferings of the young and old widows will take affect
and it is written in all the holy books of the world. And the most
strange thing is there are many gay army-men only in the American army this is again a bad omen.

Any president who was not interested in selling out his country would not have committed all of its army resources in a war for oil and to promote his election efforts. In 1965 I saw our new vehicle at the US Army Transportation School in Ft. Eustis, VA. It used water for fuel. Someone decided that that vehicle would change things too much and removed it from the scene. We could be using water for fuel today. The Fox News video at the link below is about using water for fuel.

Not send osama's family out of the country. send a competent CIA team to take out osama. rally the support of the world while everyone was on our side (even arab countries such as Iran had demonstrations of solidarity). instead of wasting money of a lost cause war he would buy defectors to infiltrate international terrorist organization and disrupt them. Not attack our civil rights. continue to work hard instead of using 9/11 as an excuse.

Probably a successfully prosecuted a war against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, killing or capturing Bin Laden. It would all be over by now.

Remember the Clinton admin. caught the WTC bombers, McVeigh and Nichols, they identified the Cole Bombers who are being held by a Bush Middle Eastern ally who REFUSES to hand them over and li'l GWB refuses to demand their turnover.

Under Bush Bin Laden is free and the mysterious Anthrax Killer remains at large with Alberto Gonzales telling U.S. senators that the intelligence on the Anthrax Killer is too sensitive for U.S. senators to see! Bizarro Bush World.

They would have had to of done the same thing. Given that so many people believe that the opposing parties are the same, why would their actions differ? At the time, the nation and congress believed we were doing the right thing. Therefore, no matter who was in office, we would be in the same place.

Listened to his/her advisers and generals versus replacing everyone who didn't tell them what they wanted to hear.

Of all the blunders, the worst thing any leader can do is silence those who do not kowtow to their wishes. Smart leaders simply surround themselves with smart advisers and listens intensely to both sides of a given issue before making a major, long term, decision.

He/She would have taken military action against Afghanistan, maybe not a full-scale invasion. Beefed up homeland security. And he/she would not have mentioned Iraq.
