No, but I write letters and voice my opinions on the issues I have a problem with. If you don't voice your dissatisfaction with the party, how will they know how you feel .

It depends. My party is trying hard to do the right thing. Since they do not control 2/3 of either the House or the Senate, it is difficult for them to get anything done as many issues you Republicans either won't let an issue get voted on, or Bush veto's it and they don't have enough votes to over-ride the veto!

The stumbling block is the Republicans who want to continue "Blank checks" to corporations! That will be remedied in 2008!

I think my party serves me better than the Republican one would. I am not in the top 1%! And I KNOW my party would not be tearing apart the constitution as Bush does every single day. A US Citizen arrested and put in a Brig for 3 1/2 years with no charges! That is obscene! Another one in the same boat. Hitler is alive and well!

Court rules in favor of enemy combatant By ZINIE CHEN SAMPSON, Associated Press

RICHMOND, Va. - The Bush administration cannot legally detain a U.S. resident it suspects of being an al-Qaida sleeper agent without charging him, a divided federal appeals court ruled Monday.

"To sanction such presidential authority to order the military to seize and indefinitely detain civilians, even if the President calls them 'enemy combatants,' would have disastrous consequences for the constitution — and the country," the court panel said.

In the 2-1 decision, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel found that the federal Military Commissions Act doesn't strip Ali al-Marri, a legal U.S. resident, of his constitutional rights to challenge his accusers in court.
It ruled the government must allow al-Marri to be released from military detention. He is currently the only U.S. resident held as an enemy combatant within the U.S.

Jose Padilla, another U.S. citizen, was held as an enemy combatant in a Navy brig for 3 1/2 years before he was hastily added to an existing case in Miami in November 2005, a few days before a U.S. Supreme Court deadline for Bush administration briefs on the question of the president's powers to continue holding him in military prison without charge.

I don't vote a "party" and have never voted a straight ticket in my life. Now am I satisfied that my elected officials do what I elected them to do? No, not completely - there is always that "campaign" jargon and then they forget that when it comes time to vote in Washington, DC.

I'm really starting to suspect something is going on
with both party's. I'm even suspect that George Bush,
Nancy Pelosi & John McCann are being given some
kind of mind alterating drug, which turns them into
Stepford Politicians.
It appears Cheney & Rove are running the country (amuck)
& that's the only reason I can figure out, of how they're
getting away with it.

No, they will say anything to get into power, then they do whatever they like.

"I think one way for us to end up being viewed as the ugly American is for us to go around the world saying, "We do it this way. So should you."
"I think the United States must be humble and must be proud and confident of our values, but humble in how we treat nations that are figuring out how to chart their own course."

Sometimes I am. Sometimes I'm not. Kind of how I feel about life in general.

But I believe in our US Constitution. And I believe in our checks and balances.

And I haven't seen a better plan.
