Why do neo-cons support the exact opposite of what true conservatives say they stand for?

What do liberals have against the same.
But peace is a pipe-dream. You can't even have peace in your own house unless you are single without kids. You think people are just going to randomly agree to stop hating each other for things that were done hundreds or thousands of years ago. Or two minutes ago?

peace is the state that exists when no bully would be stupid enough to attack you ... because he knows he'd get thumped.
sorry to say ... in this day and age, small government and balanced budgets may not be compatible with achieving peace.
But it sures beats having a steady diet of 9/11 attacks, doesn't it?
