someone was able to take my other question and turn it into a mockery of the republicans... surprised? NO. However, it does make me want to ask another question, and how does this deficit effect us? I am looking for some real answers. Are we paying more taxes to cover their asses now? This is one thing in the government I am not familiar with. I know the spending issues are there... but this confuses me, I will admit it.

I was recently informed that I violated Yahoo! Answer standards. The questions was: "If you could go back in time to right a wrong, what would you do and why?"

My answer was: "I would do what I could to prevent the UN from ever being created and let McArthur invade Russia and China."

The reason stated for the violation was: "Not a Question or Answer"

My question here, based on the above facts, is what was wrong with my answer? Am I too sensitive or is Answers too politically correct or do they even read the complaints before acting?

I just saw someone answer a question about Foley that said "the republicans knew about it five years ago!" Um... it happened LESS than five years ago, no? I just thought.. wow... some people will say ANYTHING to bash the other side...
So before I get any haters and more violations (i just got another one, thanks guys!)... I don't support that man and he should be punished. However, a clear minded thinker needs to look at the facts and not be bipartisan about it... watch the news and see, dont just attack because you hate republicans. can you do it?

Whole religious wars or differences are based what scriptures says and what has been interpreted in the name of scripture. After all, in reality, scriptures are written by disciples of departed leader. He is no longer to say what he meant. I feel this is used to gain power and satisfy one's ego. How one faith can say that their thoughts are only true other's are wrong? How faith can be hijecked like Al-queda or any other faith claim leadership for political reason. Answer without loosing your rational mind.

I think a lot of people do this because they like buying cheap foreign goods, then one day they get the bad news: "I'm sorry your job is being outsourced". If you like working for slave wages move to a 3 rd world country. We will never be able to "compete" with them inless we want to live like slaves people.

Especially since the DNC knew this and "leaked" the story during this election period. More DNC dirty tricks.

why should the rich be punished for being successful? i know this question has been asked probably a million times. but it seems dems have this suspicion of wealthy/successful people, and they seem to have an agenda to take their money and accuse them of stealing that money from the poor. why should I pay higher taxes? so that it can go to someone who can work, but is too lazy too? the FairTax gets rid of the federal tax for the poor and doesnt increase prices, so why do dems and lefties want to destroy it, keep the income tax, and actually raise the income tax?

Here's the reason: The incident regarding Rep. Mark Foley was three years old. If they were going to bring this up they should've done it long ago when they had a chance to protect other young people in the page program instead of playing politics with this issue and thus possibly advancing their own agenda at the expense of our young people. Instead, they wait until the most "political advantageous" moment to do so. Look, I am not defending Foley by any means. He deserves everything he has coming to him. But, as far as I'm concerned, what the Democrats have done with the information they've obviously been withholding to use to their own advantage is far worse than anything Foley has done. Afterall, Foley only hurt one person ( if that person was hurt at all - it turns out now that that person was 18, not 16 ) while the Dems have potentially hurt many more by using this to further their own agenda and regain their power.

Why is there so much venom spewed at Hillary? I hear and read it all the time on right wing radio and Yahoo Answers things said about her that go beyond partisan politics. She's called the devil and a great threat to the US, etc. If you don't like Hillary I would really like to know what she has said or done to make you feel that way. I'll only select an answer as best if it includes specific reasons. Not partisan rhetoric.

I mean, if there were checks and balances, we would have to blame dems too, for not checking the repubs. So, has Bush, in his quest to load all positions in gov't with his buddies, qualified or not, divided this country to this extent? And I already know that this isn't the first time we have been divided, just the MOST we have been...

the fact that there are 2 big parties in the US doesnt impress me. both parties, instead of focusing on how they can make the country better, are focusing on how they can make the other party worse. instead of hoping that the other party is right and working with them, they are hoping that they are wrong and trying to work against them. there are some obvious problems in both, both make bad decisions that were obvious from the beginning. but you cant deny that whenver one side has a good idea, it become demonized by the other side, and all you will hear about the idea are lies and accusations, *only* because the good idea didnt come from their own party, but if their own party were to come up with it then they would have no problem accepting it. with this in mind, would it be a good idea to break up the Reps and the Dems, and make smaller parties with more specific goals?
