I just saw someone answer a question about Foley that said "the republicans knew about it five years ago!" Um... it happened LESS than five years ago, no? I just thought.. wow... some people will say ANYTHING to bash the other side...
So before I get any haters and more violations (i just got another one, thanks guys!)... I don't support that man and he should be punished. However, a clear minded thinker needs to look at the facts and not be bipartisan about it... watch the news and see, dont just attack because you hate republicans. can you do it?

+ It is difficult to be by-partisan when a lot is at stake. Sometime millions and billions in revenue. I agree with you that it is crazy to jump on something just due to political party differences. I guess people get carried away(and sometimes unfairly on both sides). I try to be a good independent, and choose my issues and debates carefully. I am sure that there is dirt under the carpet for all the political parties. How else can a politician get elected and re-elected without making compromises, and some people will not like the final outcome. Here is my problem on the one hand you have the dems who seem to want to tax us out of existence(small business) and then you have the repubs who endanger the environment to make more money. There does not seem to be much middle ground. Well thanks for asking your question it was one that needed to be brought up.

Just watch...before this is over, it will become a Gay issue, NOT what it really is... a massive cover up by the Republican party. I predict that it could well be as big as Watergate!
It is NOT a Gay issue...the Republicans put into position, a man who is an Internet preditor..to police the Internet with laws and regulations..BY his own laws, he will be punished! BUT it is the cover up that is at point here, not the actions. Republican leaders knew 3 years ago about his doings, and kept quiet, lying about pages who complained. And they just kept promoting him, knowing full well what was going on....this is no different than the Catholic church hiding priests to keep on doing what they do....outrageous...we expect better of our law makers, and we never get it, regardless of what side of the fence you sit on. I am for a clean sweep of congress, the presidency. The Republicans are quaking for fear that the Dems will gain control and impeach the president...I am all for that. I am also all for control of Federal Spending! it used to be that the Republicans were the fiscally responsible ones, now it is the Dems...the parties have traded places on issues in the past 20 years. Yet the Republicans still promote the idea that it is the Dems that run up taxes and waste US dollars. The Dems have NOT run up a 4 Trillion dollar deficite! That is for sure. Do you , personally, have ANY idea what 4 Trillion dollars means? I certainly don't...I cannot comprehend those numbers, and certainly the Republican Party has NO idea what it means to me and to future generations. They have strapped the US to a life time of debt...all in 6 short years. AMAZING

You're completely right, I'm happy to hear that. It's difficult/impossible to find someone who's not biased at all. Frankly, I don't care if Foley was a Republican, Democrat or Communist. I don't like what he did... understandably, yes?

True, any logical person wouldn't perceive an entire political group solely on the actions of one congress man. Just as Republican shouldn't judge (D) solely on the actions of Clinton.
