^ 3 right-wing holdouts above me.

Because they're embarassed,that's why.

And Bush wont listen to the military as far as making any changes to his "stay the course" disaster.

I could not find a poll speaking to support of Bush with your percentages, however I'll quote the findings of the latest Zogby poll on the military in Iraq, "While 89% of reserves and 82% of those in the National Guard said the U.S. should leave Iraq within a year, 58% of Marines think so. Seven in ten of those in the regular Army thought the U.S. should leave Iraq in the next year." You need to provide a link to the poll data that you are referring to in order to establish credibility. You cannot behave like the right wingers and expect something to be true because you say so; that's their tactic don't debase the argument by stooping that low.

You can make the claim that 89% of reserves want the US out of Iraq within a year; that's legitimate and well established.

As a footnote there is poll data that shows that overall approval by the military of Bush was at 63% in 2004 and declined to 54% in 2005. I could see that those numbers would slide down to 45% for 2006 but I have no data to support that.

everyone's sayin where is your proof. i agree, but to those that say this poll isnt true, what are you talking about? do you mean that this high percent is wrong and that the majority of troops support Bush? it seems like some of you are saying that is the case. the military may be just as divided as the U.S. is about our president. they dont have to support him in order to fight a war. to answer the oringinal question, if the defense department did release this then they may be trying to make Bush look bad.

As a former Army Soldier and Veteran, I have to say that many in my platoon and company did not aprove and disliked Bush. Though no matter how much we hate our superiors we must do as we are told. Just because they are serving does not mean they support or agree with the cause. Many serve because it makes them feel more Patriotic and would like to have that behind their belt to tell future generations about. Yet fighting in Iraq and serving the military does not mean approval of the Commander in Chief.

It's always been true despite the lies and fake military profiles from chickenhawks on the Internet. Bush has screwed the American military with backdoor drafts and their families.
