Why do liberals love "The Vagina Monologues," but have a problem with Mark Foley's behavior with his page?

In "The Vagina Monologues," an older woman seduced and had sex with a thirteen-year-old girl. The young girl later said, "If it was rape, it was good rape." Liberals stood and cheered post-performance. What, exactly, were they cheering? The lighting design?

The Vagina Monologues was originally going to be called "Look Who's Talking Now, Penis?" but they changed it at the last minute. I have a copy of the transcript with the original title on it.

Why don't you add additional details on how you are connecting the two? Do you have the misconception that the Monologues are connected to pedophilia? What a very odd question. I'm not much of a liberal, I fall into both camps on many issues, but I've seen "The Vagina Monologues." The only folks that it is offensive to are those who can't look at their own body parts without blushing and it has NOTHING to do with old men (or old women) approaching 16 year old children. Again, very odd question.

I looked into this on the Internet and am making an apology to you right now. I did see the Vagina Monologues, but I obviously somehow missed that portion of it. I think it's outrageous, no doubt.

I'm not a liberal by the way and I must mention that I find it strange that you think liberals are the only ones that have a problem with Mark Foley's behavior. Don't you have a problem with it? Anyone who is a parent or believes in protecting minors from inappropriate sexual advances by adults has a problem with Foley, whether they are Dems, Repubs, Independent or completely non-political.

If you can't tell the difference, you are truly brain-dead. (Why don't you support local education and donate your truly prodigious gray matter to your high school's science lab? I'm sure all of it would fit into a mayonnaise jar, with room to spare.)

At a minimum, ex-congressman Foley "allegedly" committed sexual harassment by using his position of congressional authority and power to solicit sex with minor children. That is simply egregious behavior for any adult, let alone a congressman.

The way you wrote your provocative question, it sounds like you agree with Foley's behavior.

The VM, at the very worst, is an "R-rated" play, that should be seen by adults who are not offended by the dialog.

This is NOT about pedophilia.

This is about liberals talking out of both sides of their mouths.

Who do you think lowered the "age of consent" laws to 16 in DC and 28 states? I don't think it was the "conservatives."

Who do you think advocates letting girls of ANY AGE decide whether they want an abortion? Not the "conservatives."

Who wants to pass out condomes in Kindergarden, and read "my two daddies" to our children? Not the "conservatives."

So when a page gets a "daddy," all of a sudden it's "wrong?"
