You sound like you're bored having to listen to this story. So, you don't think pedophilia is something important enough to pay attention to? Further, not all republicans are trying to turn this into an anti-gay issue. In fact, I asked a question just a few days ago addressing this same thing. "OK, I just have to say this. Foley is not just gay. He's a Pedophile!!!!!?" is how my question about this issue starts out. So, not ALL republicans are trying to turn this into a anti-gay issue. Perhaps you need to do a little bit of research before you generalize.

This is classic misdirection, lets discuss gays and pedophiles and cover ups. This stuff is easily understood and we all agree that those things are bad.
The meat of the Republican problem is that they have rubber stamped a president with no ability to govern. Rather than look for answers, they tell you that its the Democrats fault . In addition to sounding like a three year old saying his brother did it,
the party of personal responsibility won't take responsibility for a poorly run war that is sending the debt through the roof, a lack of recognition of scientific fact in favor of a particular religious belief of the presidents, a roll back in benefits for the very veterans they profess to support, and a myriad of other equally unsavory or unintelligent notions. But theses are boring and require more than a sound bite to figure out. Sex sells, that's why they went ballistic on Clinton, they kept people talking for years, and they still are about sex, but the reduction in debt, the prestige the country had with its allies, the bombers in the first World Trade center being imprisoned, the Cole bombers having gone to trial all those are all overlooked in favor of 'he had sex'.

Foley is the poor bastard who was chosen to be the cover while the bush administration pushes through some vile evil bill.
Its the same thing they always do. Throw a bomb over here so you ignore the 3 that we are setting off over there.
