So is the GOP still opposed to gays when one of their own is one?
And no, its not an "isolated incident", since so many other right wing hypocrites "allowed him" to go ahead with whatever the hell he was doing.

So much for liberals allowing peodophalia, you Neocons took care of it for them.

Can you get outside yorself to put yourself in another persons situation and imagine how they would or would not act/react to whatever?

When a hyothetical situation is given to you is it easy or is it hard to allow for that. What if that hypothetical situation completely contridicts your world view ? For instance you have always seen X as a good thing your family buit x a small shrine etc but this other person see's x as bad can you place yourself there and imagine x being bad or is that beyond you or at least hard?

Now if you said yes I can do all of that it's easy or yes but it's hard what happens to all those abilities if I put you under stress ?

Do you think empathy is an emotion or an intelectual process?

- When you have a party that disbelieves its own security assessment that Iraq created *more* terrorists
- When you have political insiders who were *there* writing books about the screwed up things that happened in the White House being called liers
- When you have a President who states "If only my wife and my dog support me, I will not change my policy on Iraq" (a better case of megalomania and incipient dictatorship I've yet to hear)
- When - get this - the party that decries homosexuality as a sin has in charge of the creation of laws against sexual predators a guy who is - you've guessed it - a homo predator of teenage boys!!! (AND they knew about it for the last 5 years but did NOTHING about it)
- When they have a Secretary of Defence that has had a report about him released that details his dismissal of troop level suggestions, failure to anticipate the insurgency and marginalization of dissenters
- HOW, in the name of all that is sacred, can you continue to be so blinkered?

The Iranian president said "Isn't it a bit strange that the country ordering Iran to stop its nuclear activities not only has its own nuclear power plants, but it also actually used nuclear bombs to destroy Japanese islands??!"

Mostly rightwingers, they throw out there crap, then shut down and don't hear any other opinions. I've seen this pattern since Goldwater, and it still chaps my ***.

They think the general public is stupid...or do they want us to think we are stupid? It is confusing. There are so many deep problems, but no one wants to give up their "comfy chair" and therefore you have bureaucracy- none of the fat cats giving up their comfy chairs....they will do ANYTHING to keep them.......lie...ignore the REAL problems (global warming, oil running out)...you all know what I am talkin about.....

There is a difference between disagreeing with and insulting someone. If we mock our president and don't take him seriously, how do we expect any other country to take him seriously? By making fun of our president, aren't we making it harder for him to deal with foreign affairs (whether you like his actions or not)?

Please don't answer by insulting Bush or the actions he has taken that you disagree with. I would simply like some feedback on whether it is appropriate to mock our leader, rather than just disagreeing with him.

Note: This applies to all presidents, not just Bush.
