It's called selective hearing with extreme prejudice. It is a common form of disease that has afflicted our politicians right down to the old people they fool into being afraid all the time. Bad thing it is. I have seen both parties throw out the crap when they get control. It's part of the rubbing it in the opponents face. Unfortunately WE pay.

because they get to spout off whatever crap their hero was reading off the "talking points" for that day and they think by parroting this drivel they get to sound smart remember i said they get to think.... because if they were ever to put down the kool-aid and actually heard themselves they would swear it was some uneducated boob talking but not them. they need their hate after the cold war ended we couldn't hate the commies any more the russians were weakened to next to nothing and the Chinese lend us $$ so the decided to hate anyone not in their brand of religion. but hey remember they're the smart ones.
