- When you have a party that disbelieves its own security assessment that Iraq created *more* terrorists
- When you have political insiders who were *there* writing books about the screwed up things that happened in the White House being called liers
- When you have a President who states "If only my wife and my dog support me, I will not change my policy on Iraq" (a better case of megalomania and incipient dictatorship I've yet to hear)
- When - get this - the party that decries homosexuality as a sin has in charge of the creation of laws against sexual predators a guy who is - you've guessed it - a homo predator of teenage boys!!! (AND they knew about it for the last 5 years but did NOTHING about it)
- When they have a Secretary of Defence that has had a report about him released that details his dismissal of troop level suggestions, failure to anticipate the insurgency and marginalization of dissenters
- HOW, in the name of all that is sacred, can you continue to be so blinkered?

Errr...Carla...Bush is utterly incapable of hearing criticism; he's utterly incapable of admitting he's ever made a mistake; and how you can say a person has a *good* heart when he fulminates hatred against gays, ignores the truth about Iraq and so continues to have Americans by the thousands maimed and killed, and has ten times that many totally innocent people slaughtered, and believes torture, imprisonment indefinately without trial, and committing war crimes beggars belief. If he were anyone other than the President he'd be ridiculed at best, and imprisoned at worst. Were he running a company he'd have been fired long ago.

The red states vote republican for 1 reason. They think the republican party will protect their money.
Any democrat can come across as god fearing and anti gay. It's the "have and have not" issue's that really separate the two parties.
Too bad, so sad, it takes big money to get elected.
The candidates are always a choice between tweedle dee and tweedle dum.
If we could take the lawyers and the big money out of politics we might actually get a candidate who gives a damm. As it stands now we can only guess if any of them actually have a conscience..

When you're taking out cash that went for infrastructure, protection, and different constitutionally mandated federal duties, blue states took way more cash than crimson states. That signifies that welfare and the form are some distance higher in blue states than in crimson states. Socialism is alive and good on your blue states. Leave the crimson states on my own. Gee, Karla, maybe Cassandra and the questioner don't believe in showing respect for someone who lied knowingly in order to invade a sovereign nation which Cheney had been trading weapons with only months before, to capture a man installed as President by our CIA who was clasping hands with Rumsfeld in the Reagan years, and so killed tens of thousands of innocent people, destroyed a nation's infrastructure, and allowed to be looted and destroyed the great treasures of early human civilization.
Gee, Karla Rove, did you know that multiple times, bombs were dropped on civilian neighborhoods in Baghdad, 'because saddam might have been there.' If you think wondering what it would take to get people to face that Bush is a monster is rude - what do you call killing children at dinner with mom and dad because they live in Saddam's neighborhood? we've long said that bush could rape and murder jenna on national tv and the red staters would still love him and excuse him.
this said, when i drove through almost all the red states last year, i made a point of asking at every gas station, diner, and laundromat what people thought of bush. everyone without exception hated him - and that was before katrina. so don't believe everything the media wants you to believe.
