Not sure what you mean.
We are presently limiting ourselves severely by not educating our children.
We are limiting ourselves by not assuring that all our citizens are offered an equal playing field.
We are limiting ourselves by electing incompetents like George Bush to high office.
How more should we limit ourselves?
