Just in case you've had a rough day, here's a stress management technique
recommended in all the latest psychological texts.

The funny thing is that it really works.

1. Picture yourself near a stream.

2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.

3. No one but you knows your secret place.

4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called "the world".

5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade
of serenity.

6. The water is crystal clear.

7. You can easily make out the face of the Democrat you're holding
underwater.

8. See, you're smiling already.

Republicans are allowing a few terrorists to change the very essence of our country and make us so afraid that we no longer even know who we are -- or what we stand for.
When the going has gotten tough, and our nation's heart and soul are on the line, it's the cowardly Republicans who have truly cut and run.

For some reason they think we should be able to toture Muslims all we want, and if we don't we are "helping the terrorists."

It's called law, conservatives, and you and I are going have to obey it--even if it means treating everyone the same.

"In the next century, the community of nations may see more and more the very kind of threat Iraq poses now -- a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction ready to use them or provide them to terrorists, drug traffickers or organized criminals who travel the world among us unnoticed.

If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow by the knowledge that they can act with impunity, even in the face of a clear message from the United Nations Security Council and clear evidence of a weapons of mass destruction program."

President Clinton
Address to Joint Chiefs of Staff and Pentagon staff
February 17, 1998

"It is the duty of any president, in the final analysis, to defend this nation and dispel the security threat. Saddam Hussein has brought military action upon himself by refusing for 12 years to comply with the mandates of the United Nations. The brave and capable men and women of our armed forces

This is a war we were lied into that has made us less safe and more despised through out the world. This is a war the majority of Americans no longer support. Republicans are so damn scared that they're willing to take a country that was founded on individual liberty and turn it into a police state -- all out of fear of big bad terrorist bullies. I feel nothing but contempt for our so-called leadership.

a Good friend to america died recently
h

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.

Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Like child molesters or drug pushers or rapists or pedophiles of people who have committed violent crimes? Of course not! Not unless there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that they’ve reformed and can redeem themselves.

And what about our Yahoo Answers Community? What about twice convicted and twice banned abusers like John Skerry? Should they be allowed to return to Yahoo, still abusing the rules and guidelines, still personally attacking other Yahoo users with insults and name-calling?
