It is my understanding that Ted Turner recently gave the United Nations one Billion Dollars.

Does he own it then, or is he a lobbyist for his own personal causes, or what?

I mean what would the United Nations do with one Billion Dollars, it is my understanding that country's are very wealthy already, don't they all contribute to help each other, or does Ted own his own country?

I mean when any organization takes that kind of money from a singular individual, then do they do that persons bidding?

Like when they know you know that the party system is a big show, and that bankers and elite secret society members rule the western world. And you know the plans of the New World Order. And you know they have been and will cause more chaos and terror to strip americans of their rights so that they can usher in a police state to the oblivious mainstream media watching drones. Why do we breed welfare sucking wastes of life? I own a buisness and twice this year employees quit because I was paying them to much. With their raise they would not qualify for the host of government handouts. So why work if you dont have to? In addition my father owens rental properties where one of his tenants was bragging thay his benifits not including medical was $5400 a month. I joked that if he died my taxes would drop. He just laughed and agreed. Why should I work? I have 2 kids I am sure I could mooch a deacent wage! What is wrong with us that we allow this to continue?

I'm making a slight generalization here but I just have to ask, how come people lower themselves to the levels of insuluts and petty jabs when talking about politics? The whole point of a democracy is that we don't have to all agree...not to mention, when arguing a point in politics or ethics or whatever take time to educate yourself on your point. Also how come christian fudementalists insist on telling me I will burn in hell for not believeing in their god. Honestly, if you're so sure youre going to be internally happy in heaven why give me grief?...thats alot of issues for one question...

My AP US History teacher told the class today that North Korea declared war on us yesterday. What exactly do you think will happen? A lot of people think that just because we're the United States of America, that bombs just can't be dropped on us. Do you think that they will? Could a world war be sprouting up? I know some people already think this is a world war. I don't know about that one. I'm just curious, because I don't understand this...Why did they declare war anyway?

I watch the news, I read the magazines and I follow the political waves. I'm a graduate student in Saint Louis, who frankly, wants to start taking matters into his own hands. I know I can't do anything big (Like become president), but I want to know about how to get started in politics. Where do you begin? How do you know if you're any good or not? I want to make a difference, and I don't mind working hard. I'm just tired of the lies and hypocrites in politics now. Any suggestions on how to get things done?

As i look around the world on the news, in my neighborhood i started wondering, if this world is ran by mostly men are woman more in tune with the world than men because from what i see the condition of the whole world is looking kind of grim and like james brown would say this is a mans world but it would be nothing without a woman so when are we going to get our chance?

everyone seems to have a strong Republican, Democratic or Liberal view to their questions., and all of you seem to be involved in your countries politics (or are using this site to pretend you do), yet less than 50% of the population votes, infact only 39% voted at the last Presidential election, does this mean everyone on Yahoo (politics section) is a voter? Was there any video made from all 4 corners & was there visibility due to dust?
After collision and explotions" the buldgs were still there for plenty of time",
probably 20 minutes And the fire could only burn interior stuffs maximum 1 or 2 floor up & down; but Y the whole buldgs !? It is a mystry & cover up to me.
The planes didn't even causing the 11 to come down instantly !

I know everyone is going to have your own opinions on this. I just want to know If you believe it was right why? Do you believe that dropping a bomb on populated area with innocent lives and even US P.O.W were was necessary? Or do you believe that it shouldnt' of happened and that the US should of sent more US Soldiers over and risk their lives with a country that did not want to back down?

Was there another way that they could of ended the war without risking so many lives?

I been reading up on different things and found this stuff how true it is i'm not sure.

Japan has asked Russia to help with bringing peace with the US on one condition their emperor remain on the throne. The Us wanted them to surrender unconditonally so Japan refused the Us then dropped the A boomb. Later resulting in uncondtional surrender and emperor remaining on the throne. So they both got what they wanted before the bomb was even dropped? I don't know what's your guys view on it..
