I know you can't join the marines with asthma. I'm training with a recruiter i know and a friend in the marines to strengthen my lungs and try to get rid of it. I've had an asthma attack within the last year but it's not bad. If I work extremely hard and have a doctor prove my asthma is almost 100% better would they let me join?

I've searched AR 670-1 from cover to cover and can't find anything that pertains to the mechanics coveralls. This uniform has weird pockets in front and on the sleeves and I'm not too sure where the nametapes and badges go. I'm not new to the Army but I'm new to this kind of uniform. Thanks. Airborne!

Harry Reid says the Iraq war is lost. Bush says it is not. But Harry wants to pull out the troops either way.

What is a better expression than "cut and run" for what Harry wants to do?

First you make a germ that kills with a special chemical.
Next you vaccinate your own people against the germ.
Then you release the germ to the world, everyone else gets infected but they don't know it.
Now you tell the world you will release the chemical to kill everyone else apart from your own people

Most would agree that the United States has some stake in Iraq's Oil revenue and profits since Iraq is our number 1 supplier. The deeper question is how much of the profit from the sale of Iraq's oil is going toward the war efforts to stabilize Iraq and their faltering economy?

Secondly, Why are we having to pay nearly $3.00 per gallon for gas at U.S. Pumps? Who is really the beneficiary of the Profit? Certainly, not the consumers!

The U.S. military says another 3,700 American troops have arrived in the Iraqi capital to support the security crackdown launched in Baghdad in mid-February.

A statement Wednesday says the new brigade will help Iraqi security forces clear, control and retain key areas of Baghdad in order to reduce violence.

This is the fourth additional combat unit deployed in Baghdad as part of plans to add some 28,000 troops there. Note: Doesn't this sound like the years 1965 to 1972? Remember? Build up the troop level in Vietnam and then win. Here we go again. Stay tuned and watch the defeat that is sure to arrive. Just like Vietnam.
